8-year-old Afghan boy  who was going home from school allegedly murdered by Taliban for no apparent reason

Mohammad Wasim, an 8-year-old resident of Khaniz village in the Bazarak district of Panjshir. Yesterday, he excitely went to school with his friend to receive the results of their exams. On the way back home, they were stopped by a ranger car belonging to Taliban.

The Taliban placed both boys in the back of the ranger car and said they would be taken them to their village. However, as the car drove on, Mohammad Wasim and his friend realized the car has passed their village and that that they were being taken to a different location.

They started shouting and hitting on the roof of the car from back, begging Taliban to stop, but Taliban didn't pay attention. In fear, they jumped out of the moving car when it passed two other villages from their village.

The Taliban Ranger, upon realizing that Wasim and  another child had thrown themselves out of the back of the car, fled the scene instead of stopping the vehicle. After a while, they were found unconscious and injured on the road by a passing driver, who took them to the Emergency Hospital in Panjshir after he found those boys relatives.

When they arrived at the hospital, the doctors said that the children should be taken to Kabul as soon as possible. But Mohammad Wasim died at the same time. His friend is also in critical condition with a low chance of survival.

When the body of Ahmad Wasim was transferred to his house, the Taliban came in a hurry. When they found out that the child had fallen from the back of a Ranger car belonging to their own group, they left the place and did not return.

Two American women charged with 1st-degree murder in Clinton shooting

Kimberly A. Hammond, 25, and Justice K. Foley, 24, are charged with first-degree murder in the death of 42-year-old Randy R. Weimerskirch, of Clinton.

Two white women have been charged with premeditated first-degree murder in connection with the overnight shooting death of a Clinton man.

Kimberly A. Hammond, 25, and Justice K. Foley, 24, are charged with first-degree murder in the death of 42-year-old Randy R. Weimerskirch, of Clinton. Both also are charged with first-degree robbery while armed with a dangerous weapon. 

Donivan W.J. Chambers, 28, also has been arrested on a charge of being an accessory after the fact in connection with the case. 

Clinton Police Chief Kevin Gyrion announced the charges Sunday night via press release. The release states that police received a report of a shooting at 2:11 a.m. Sunday at 420 Glenwood Place, Clinton. When officers arrived, they found Weimerskirch with a gunshot wound. He was transported to MercyOne Clinton, where he was pronounced dead.

Hammond and Foley are jailed in Clinton County. No bond amount has been set. Chambers also is jailed in Clinton County, with his bond set at $2,000 cash or surety.

Gyrion stated in the release that there does not appear to be any threat to the community. The Clinton Police Department is continuing its investigation into the shooting and is being assisted by the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.

 

American man of Texas charged with murder in fatal stabbing of young grandson

Phillip Hughes, 62, was arrested early Sunday morning after police found his 8-year-old grandson dead.

Another insane case of murder on the second day of the year in the United States involving another white American who murdered a member of his own family.  I guess for white people in the United States, there is no such thing as new year's resolution 

A white man and a grandfather stabbed his 8-year-old grandson to death in his North Texas home just hours before New Years, according to local police.

Phillip Hughes, 62, was arrested early Sunday morning after police found a boy dead while responding to a reported stabbing incident around 7:50 am. Richland Hills Police said.

Hughes was taken into custody without incident and was being charged with murder while awaiting arraignment.

An investigation is ongoing, but police say they don’t believe anyone else was involved in the boy’s fatal stabbing.

No further details, including a possible motive for the heartbreaking incident, were released by officials on Sunday afternoon.

“The Richland Hills Police Department extends its condolences to those affected by the senseless tragedy and asks for continued prayers for all involved,” it said.

Richland Hills is a small city of over 8,000 people about 30 miles from Dallas.

 

Jeffrey Bryan McLaughlin a Husband of former prosecutor Venisa McLaughlin charged in her murder

The husband of a former assistant county prosecutor who assisted with the issuance of protective orders and took many of those cases to court was arrested for her murder on New Year’s Day.

Sheriff Roger Deeds confirmed Sunday afternoon that the murder victim was Venisa McLaughlin.

Her husband, a white man Jeffrey Bryan McLaughlin, 58, of 6103 Westover Dr. in Pecan Plantation, was arrested on a charge of first-degree felony murder and booked into the Hood County Jail just before 2 p.m. Sunday.

Deeds said that his investigators were going over evidence and that McLaughlin’s bond would not be set until Monday morning.

He provided no details about the circumstances surrounding Venisa’s death.

“We are still actively investigating this call,” Deeds told the Hood County News.

County Attorney Matt Mills confirmed that Venisa worked in his office as an assistant county attorney. He said that in addition to working protective order cases, she handled justice of the peace courts, mental commitments, and various other duties.

He said that she was on staff when he first took office six years ago and that she left “on friendly terms” around the end of April.

Mills said that he heard of Venisa’s death Sunday morning. He called the situation “very tragic.”

“This is a really big loss for our office, even though she (no longer worked there),” he stated in a text message to the HCN.

 

Another mass shooting in the United States leaves one dead and 9 other injured on new year's eve in Alabama

This may the first mass shooting in the United States that took place.  Last year the country was ravaged by more than 300 cases of mass shooting and majority of the shooters are white men.

One person was killed and nine hurt in a shooting a few blocks away from where thousands were in the streets for a New Year's Eve party in downtown Mobile, Alabama, police said.

TV news footage showed police officers running and on horseback rushing to the area where the shooting took place about 45 minutes before midnight Saturday.

Mobile Police said the man who was killed was 24 years old but did not release his name. Those hurt ranged in age from 17 to 57, and their injuries ranged from non-life-threatening to severe, police said in a statement.

The shooting happened a few blocks away from the main stage for the MoonPie Over Mobile festival. The event continued on with fireworks and a moon pie dropping from a downtown building at midnight to mark the start of 2023.

 

American teen of texas arrested for fatally shooting co-worker while taking down Christmas decorations  

Deputies said a 17-year-old Cayman Wilson,has been charged with manslaughter in connection with the shooting death of 19-year-old Marissa Dikeman.

First day of 2023 and there has been several reports of nonsensical crimes and murders in the entire Unites States and many of these insane crimes are unprovoked and the majority of the culprits are white people.

 A 19-year-old woman was shot and killed Thursday in the Crosby area. 

She has been identified as Marissa Dikeman, 19. The man charged in connection to the shooting, Cayman Wilson, 17, was her coworker. He has been charged with manslaughter. 

The shooting happened just before 9 p.m. at a home on Sherri Lane near Lord Road just northwest of Highway 90.

Investigators said Dikeman, Wilson and another one of their coworkers were at the home taking down Christmas decorations, and at some point, Wilson found a shotgun. 

Wilson allegedly denied knowing the gun was loaded because he said he first pulled the trigger without it discharging. Investigators said Wilson, in an attempt to play a joke, pointed the gun at the door and called Dikeman in. That's when he allegedly shot and killed her.

Lupe Martinez, Dikeman's uncle, described her as a hard worker who was pursuing a degree in education. 

“She was finding ways to finish school," Martinez said.

He wants Dikeman to be remembered as a person who loved her family and had an entire life ahead of her. 

"Making sure that she's remembered for her," he said. "Not for what happened but for her."

Court records show Wilson made bail and is set to appear in court on Tuesday. 

 

American daughter of man stabbed to death inside Brooklyn apartment arrested, charged with murder

22-year-old Nikki Secondino has been arrested and charged with murder after a man was stabbed to death inside an apartment in Brooklyn.

Officers responding to a 911 call reporting an assault inside of a building on 17th Avenue in Bensonhurst just before 6 a.m. found 61-year-old Carlo Secondino stabbed to death.

His 19-year-old daughter had also been stabbed and was taken to Maimonides Medical Center in critical condition.

Her 22-year-old sister, identified as Nikki Secondino, was taken to NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn where she was treated for slash wounds to her hands.

Initially, police believed two men had forced their way into the home and demanded to be shown a safe, but police said there were no signs of forced entry and no safe in the home.

Hours after the incident, Nikki Secondino was arrested and charged with murder, attempted murder and criminal possession of a weapon.

Investigators are looking into the domestic history of the family and whether the killing may have instead stemmed from a family dispute.

A neighbor who did not want to be named out of fear for her own safety said she hears arguing often in the home and that she heard what sounded like bodies slamming Thursday morning.

She was awoken by hearing the father yelling for her to call 911 and one of the daughters banging on her door.

"I saw the blood in the hallway and that's when I got shaken up and closed my door," she said. "I just felt like, when she was banging on my door when I opened up the door, why didn't those intruders actually try to come and attack me?"
