President Vladimir Putin didn't unleash big cats to force people to stay at home

The Covid-19 Pandemic News - Russia

Moscow, Russia - Right now, many countries have already imposed lockdown of the affected areas that has an alarming cases of Covid-19 and confirmed deaths. The corona virus has already claimed more than 13,000 lives world-wide since it was detected in Wuhan.

Amid the pandemic, a post that has become viral claiming that the Russian President Vladimir Putin has unleashed around 800 tigers and lions  in the country's streets to force people to stay in their homes.  Facebook page "Humor TV" posted a photo of a lone lion that was walking in the street with a caption,  "Vladimir Putin has dropped 800 tigers and lion all over the country to stay homes."  This post by Humor TV was shared more than 18,000 times that it became viral on social media including Twitter.

However,  the post published by Humor TV was actually a false claim.  According to Anti Fake News War Room or AFWA,  the photo of a lion walking on the street was taken in South Africa in 2016 in Johannesburg. In addition, Daily News reported that the lion called Columbus was brought for filming by the movie crew in Johannesburg.

Therefore, the photo of a lon roaming in the street of  Johannesburg, South Africa had nothing to do with the quaratine in Russia imposed by President Vladimir Putin. The  reason why the Covid-19 cases and death toll are relatively low is because President Putin only gave two options to the Russian people, it's either you stay at home for two weeks or go to jail for five years.  There's no middle ground.

March Worm Moon: The super moon will illuminated the night sky for three nights

The Rare Phenomenon

The Supermoon will light up the dark sky on Monday evening of March 9.  According to NASA the supermoon will appear full for 3 consecutive nights from Monday to Wednesday.

This is the second supermoon of the year. The Supermoons occur when the moon is within the 90 pedigree, or it's closest to Earth's orbit.  The moon will appear brighter and larger in the dark skies and hopefully no clouds will block the view.

The March supermoon is also referred as the Worm Moon.  Transitional and native Indian names for every full moon of the year derived on how they helped to track seasons.  In this case, the ground began to soften and the earth worms emerge from the soil that attract birds to feast on them, according to the Farmer's Almanac. For that reason, the March supermoon is very much associated with spring.

How the Corona virus outbreak can bring out the worst among people

The Covid-19 Outbreak News

Since the cornona virus emerged from the seafood market in Wuhan, alot of things also emerged as the fear of the potential pandemic escalates.  First there was this issue of xenophobia.  Chinese have been blamed for the widespread of the disease. People have been anxious to be near to anyone who are Chinese looking.  Even well privileged Asians are fearful of the Chinese.  But things are getting alot worse, people are becoming racists and this time Asian people are being targeted.

In social media, there are reports that are circulating about some attacks targeting not only Chinese but also other Asians as well.  A Filipino-American shared his bad experience when a white American degraded him while buying some groceries at the Walmart.  This self entitled American who was apparently in the 50s approached him and accused him of being a carrier of the deadly disease.  The Filipino-American was shocked as he received those degrading remarks. "Why don't you go back to your country and eat dogs instead of spreading disease!" the white man stated.  The Filipino-American just ignored and went away but the deluded white mongrel continued his demoralizing attacks.  According to some reports, this white racist has been known for insulting call center representatives over the phone when he realizes that he's being assisted by Sounth east Asians particularly those from the Philippines.

In Italy, a group of Italian mobsters raided and desacrated a convenient store that is owned by Chinese.  The mobsters blamed the Chinese people who has been residing in Italy for bringing the Covid-19 into the country.  Another incident that also occurred in Italy is when a white Italian man assaulted a Filipino whom he mistaken as a Chinese in a grocery store.  The Italian just suddenly approached the Filipino and punched him directly on his face. The Filipino fought back and a heated scuffle occurred.  The Filipino yelled at the angry Italian stating that he was not a Chinese but a Filipino. "Ioso Filipino non cinese!"  ( "I'm a Filipino and not Chinese!"). The people around them intervened and halted the two men from fighting.

There has been an increasing attacks against Chinese and Chinese looking Asians in Italy because of the increasing number of Covid-19 cases and confirmed deaths and they are putting the displacements against the Asians even though they're not from Wuhan which is the epicenter of the Corona virus.

In London, Jonathan Wok a 23 year old student from Singapore shared his horrid experience on social media after being attacked by people in Oxford street, a busy shopping area in the British capital on February 24.  Wok has spoken out about racism linked to the Corona virus outbreak after suffering from a severe facial injuries in a "racially aggravated assault."

As the fear of Corona virus intensifies, and so is the "xenophobia" that often resulted to inhumane coup de maine which often targeted Asians and the incidence of this assaults are becoming more alarming and frequent.  It is really ridiculous that the Covid-19 outbreak can bring out the worst and racism among the culprits which are mostly white people.
