A Russian streamer who posed naked for a photo in front of a church faces jail for “insulting the religious feelings of believers”.

Polina Murugina, 24, is the latest in a string of influencers facing time behind bars for violating a new indecency law.

The streamer faces a fine of up to $4,109 or a year in jail if she’s found guilty of “insulting the religious feelings of believers”.

Polina, who’s tattooed from tip to toe, posed naked outside the Church of Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Moscow, local media reports say.

The picture, which was taken last summer, was only recently reported to police.

The influencer has yet to comment but has closed down her Instagram account where the controversial picture was posted.

It comes as the Kremlin cracks down on people sharing racy posts beside churches or state buildings.

Last year, an influencer couple were handed prison sentences after they staged an X-rated photoshoot close to St Basil’s Cathedral in Moscow.

Ruslan Bobiev, from Tajikistan, and his girlfriend Anastasia Chistova caused outrage after a photo appeared with her wearing a police jacket and simulating a sex act as she crouched in front of him.

The cathedral in Red Square, Moscow, is seen as a hugely popular cultural symbol as well as a sacred site by the Russian Orthodox church.

The pair were arrested by the authorities for 10 days and fined 5,000 rubles (£51) with the court also ordering Bobiev – real name Ruslani Talabjon – to be deported.

They were later charged with “insulting religious feelings.”

Bobiev and Chistova were found guilty by Moscow’s Tverskoy district court and both were sentenced to 10 months in a penal colony, according to the state-owned news agency TASS.

Under the law, a maximum of a year’s jail time can be imposed but prosecutors had requested a 10-month sentence.

The law criminalising the insulting of feelings to religious believers was passed in 2013 in the wake of the anti-Kremlin group Pussy Riot’s Punk Prayer performance at the central Moscow cathedral.

Earlier this month, an OnlyFans model allegedly received death threats after video emerged of her flashing her boobs outside the same cathedral.

The woman, who is known to subscribers as Lola Bunny, was widely condemned for her actions forcing the woman to issue an apology.

 

Surprising footage exhibits teen mother tossing new child into dumpster in New Mexico

Surprising surveillance video captured an adolescent tossing her new child right into a dumpster in New Mexico — just for the kid to be discovered alive hours later by three individuals sifting by the trash, in keeping with a report.

Alexis Avila, 18, was seen arriving on the dumpster on North Thorp Road in Hobbs about 2 p.m. Friday, pulling a black trash bag out of the automobile and tossing it into the container, KOB reported.

Six hours later, three individuals combing by the dumpster have been seen eradicating the bag, wanting inside and discovering the child.

The girl rapidly wraps up the new child and takes the child to a truck as a person apparently calls authorities, the outlet reported.

“Upon arrival officers rendered aid to the newborn child and the baby was transported to a local hospital by Hobbs EMS. The child was subsequently transported to a Lubbock Hospital for further pediatric treatment,” police stated in a press release.

The child was listed in steady situation.

Police stated they have been in a position to retrieve surveillance footage of the incident and later situated Avila’s automobile.

She confessed to giving delivery to the child and throwing the new child into the dumpster, cops stated.

Avila has been charged with tried homicide and was anticipated to be arraigned Monday in Lea County District Courtroom.

A bizarre love triangle resulted to a brutal murder

Two white people accused in the murder of an Oklahoma woman allegedly had sex in the victim’s bed while they heard her “struggling to live” in the next room, authorities said.

Brinlee Denison, 25, and Nicholas Johnson, 28, used a crowbar to brutally beat 29-year-old Sarah Maguire in her Tulsa home on Jan. 4, according to an affidavit from Tulsa police obtained by to KNWA.

The pair are facing charges of first-degree murder and vehicle theft.

Police reportedly executed a welfare check at Maguire’s home at a little after 5 p.m. on Friday and found Maguire unresponsive in her living room. She had “obvious signs of trauma to her head and face” and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the affidavit.

During their investigation, officers learned from Maguire’s family that her vehicle and her credit cards had been stolen. Denison, of Saplupa, Okla., and Johnson, of Tulsa, were arrested the next day when they were found sleeping in the stolen vehicle at a Whataburger in Fayetteville, Ark.

Once in custody, the pair gave officers “a full confession of beating the victim about the head with a crowbar, fleeing the scene by stealing the victim’s vehicle, and funding the trip with the victim’s stolen credit cards,” according to the affidavit.

Johnson told cops that he and Denison were in an “intimate relationship,” however she was also in a relationship with Maguire. According to the affidavit, Johnson “was jealous of the relationship between the victim and Denison.”

Johnson said that he and Denison “had sex in the victim’s bed after the murder,” and that “he could still hear the victim in the living room struggling to live, while he was having sex with Denison in the bedroom.”

He added that he knew Maguire was still alive.

Johnson told police Denison had helped him plan the murder and threw the clothing the two had worn out of vehicle window as they fled, according to the affidavit. She drove most of the way, he said.

Denison grabbed Maguire’s credit cards and other electronics and transferred funds to the pair’s own accounts when she was not driving, Johnson told police.

In a heartbreaking Facebook post, Maguire’s sister Jamie praised the Tulsa Police Department for their work as her family grieved their loss.

“Our family has suffered a devastating blow this week,” she said. “My sister Sarah has lost her life in a senseless act of violence. Please keep our family in your prayers as we navigate through this time. Rest assured justice is being served and we owe our greatest debt of gratitude to the Tulsa Police Department.”

The accused are each being held on a $1 million bond. They are expected to be extradited back to Oklahoma from Washington County Jail in Arkansas for a future court date, according to KNWA.

 

Cyprus reportedly discovers a Covid variant that combines omicron and delta

Such variant is now called 'Deltacron'

A researcher in Cyprus has discovered a strain of the coronavirus that combines the delta and omicron variant, Bloomberg News reported on Saturday.

Leondios Kostrikis, professor of biological sciences at the University of Cyprus, called the strain “deltacron,” because of its omicron-like genetic signatures within the delta genomes, Bloomberg said.

So far, Kostrikis and his team have found 25 cases of the virus, according to the report. It’s still too early to tell whether there are more cases of the strain or what impacts it could have.

“We will see in the future if this strain is more pathological or more contagious or if it will prevail” against the two dominant strains, delta and omicron, Kostrikis said in an interview with Sigma TV Friday. He believes omicron will also overtake deltacron, he added.

The researchers sent their findings this week to GISAID, an international database that tracks viruses, according to Bloomberg.

The deltacron variant comes as omicron continues its rapid spread across the globe, causing a surge in Covid-19 cases. The U.S. is reporting a seven-day average of more than 600,000 new cases daily, according to a CNBC analysis Friday of data from Johns Hopkins University. That’s a 72% increase from the previous week and a pandemic record.

Asian man beaten brutally in NYC dies from injuries

Yao Pan Ma, a 61-year-old Asian man, was horrifically and brutally attacked on April 23, 2021, in East Harlem. Sadly, he didn't recover from the spring 2021 attack and the NYPD announced Saturday that he has succumbed to his injuries.

Ma, an out-of-work Chinese immigrant, was repeatedly kicked in the head last year when he was collecting cans at Third Avenue and 125th Street. The lone assailant was seen in footage stomping on Ma's head knocked onto the concrete.

Ex-convict Jarrod Powell, who claimed he acted in self-defense, was identified on video assaulting Ma and caught days after the apparent anti-Asian attack, which left the hate crime victim comatose in critical condition before the Dec. 31 death.

Powell, 49, was first charged with attempted murder and two counts of of assault as a hate crime. He has pleaded not guilty. The case has now been designated a homicide, although upgraded charges were not yet filed, the NYPD said Saturday.

Powell—revealed to have a history of prior busts going back to the year 1988 and has called the video evidence "a whole lot of bullsh*t"—is due back in Manhattan Supreme Court on Feb. 10 for Ma's case, the New York Post reported.

A German white teacher who allegedly murdered then ate a man he met on an online dating app to fulfill “cannibalism fantasies” has been sentenced to life in prison for the gut-wrenching killing, according to reports.

The 42-year-old math and chemistry teacher, identified only as Stefan R., in accordance with German privacy rules, was found guilty of murder and disturbing the peace of the dead for the September 2020 murder, The Guardian reported Friday.

According to the Berlin state court, Stefan R. had killed his victim to “obtain sexual gratification” via the murder and eating parts of the victim’s corpse, CNN reported. Court documents said Stefan R met the 43-year-old mechanic on an online dating platform, where they arranged to meet up at the defendant’s Berlin suburban apartment. There, Stefan R allegedly sedated his date, killed him, then severed his genitals before consuming them.

The court found the defendant carried out the gruesome acts to “to live out his cannibalism fantasies,” news agency DPA reported.

“What you did was inhuman,” said the judge, Matthias Schertz.

The defendant had “developed slaughter and cannibalism ideas” and visited multiple cannibalism websites and online forums, Schertz reportedly said. In addition, investigators discovered a bone saw and specialist knives at his home, the Guardian reported.

According to CNN affiliate NTV, the prosecutor said during the trial, which began in August, that Stefan R. “lured the man into a trap,” and had repeatedly spoken about cannibalism with other sexual partners, and “wanted to live out his fantasies.”

The court ruled that because Stefan R. has been found guilty of a “particularly serious crime,” he cannot be released on automatic parole that in Germany comes after serving 15 years in prison, though the verdict can be appealed, according to CNN.

The victim, Stefan Trogisch, disappeared on Sept. 6, 2020, after taking a cab to the suburb of northern Berlin. The last person to see Trogisch alive was the driver, who dropped him off near Stefan’s apartment in Pankow, according to the Telegraph. Weeks later, his body parts were discovered in the area, including a torso and thigh bone.

The German media has named his alleged murderer the “Cannibal of Pankow.”

 

Some Filipinos still believe COVID vaccine would turn them into flesh-eating zombies

Philippines President Duterte was surprised when there are about almost 50 percent of the country's population is not yet vaccinated despite of the relentless vaccination drive carried out. Duterte had enough of the Filipinos who refused to be inoculated against the coronavirus, so he ordered them to be arrested once get caught roaming outside the public.

Filipinos being Asians are known to be receptive to the covid-19 vaccines and the precautionary mandates amid the pandemic.  It was a bit appalling that only 51 % of the entire population have completed their jabs and are now scheduled for their boosters.  

Just what are reasons behind why many Filipinos refused to be vaccinated.  Well, there are reasons that my be considered as very ridiculous.  Few are afraid that since covid-19 shots are relatively new, they may suffer from unknown future adverse effects similar to dengvaxia, some are just too stupid believing in many hoaxes being shared by many American conspiracy theorists.  One of the most pathetic conspiracy theories made by American propagandists  is that the covid- 19 vaccine may turn you into a flesh-eating zombies.

One of the many American conspiracy theorist who brought the bizarre idea that covid-19 vaccine  can turn our modern time into an apocalyptic era with zombies roaming around after being vaccinated is Daniel W. Drezner.  He emphasizes the terrible parallels between the pandemic and the zombie apocalypse while the vaccine is being rolled out.

"We thought it was just a story but I've heard of that so many times in Quezon (province), in Bicol (region), I thought it with was merely hearsay but I've heard of that ( zombie news) so many time in Quezon, Bicol and various areas), '' Malaya said.

The belief that coronavirus disease (COVID-19) vaccine would turn them into zombies is discouraging some people to be inoculated, a ranking official of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) disclosed on Sunday, Jan. 9.

DILG spokesperson Usec. Jonathan Malaya said he himself was surprised of this bizarre belief based on the information he had been receiving in the past.

He also disclosed that there are some religious groups who have been telling their followers that vaccination is demonic or satanic.

We are always telling that the government will not do anything that will harm the public,’’ he added.

Malaya said that the government had already coordinated with the religious groups stressing that these bizarre stories have no basis reiterating that putting the people’s lines at risk during the pandemic is out of the equation.

Meanwhile, Malaya noted that the DILG had not received reports of any unvaccinated barangay captains or kagawads in the National Capital Region (NCR).

He warned that the barangay captain is liable in case the COVID-19 surge in his jurisdiction is traced to the poor implementation of the minimum public health standards (MPHS) which includes the unabated outdoor activities of their unvaccinated residents.

“Barangay captain may face administrative, criminal and civil cases precisely because they are government officials,” said Malaya.

Many charges can be filed against them for dereliction of duty, simple misconduct, negligence and we can file many more the barangay captains are aware of that,’’ he added. (Chito A. Chavez)
