Spanish football coach Francisco Garcia dies of Covid-19 infection at 21

Malaga, Spain - Spanish football coach Francisco Garcia has died of complications due to the novel corona virus infection on March 16 at the age of 21.  His unexpected death was published by the Spanish newspaper - The Malaga hoy.

      The young football coach had an underlying condition - leukemia which made him more vulnerable to the virus at a very young age.  He had no knowledge that he had a pre-existing health condition until he was diagnosed with cancer of the white blood cells after going to the hospital due to a pneumonia like symptom.

     According to Malaga hoy, he was advised to seek medical assistance after experiencing difficulty of breathing and that's when he found out that he had pneumonia as a complication due to the corona virus infection and leukemia, which increased the level of risk after contracting the Covid-19.

     According to studies, if Garcia wasn't suffering from leukemia, it was more likely that he would have survived.   It wasn't certain how he acquired the corona virus and it is possible  that he might have transmitted the virus to anyone that came in contact with before it was discovered that he was infected.

     Spain is now the second country that is hardly hit with the corona virus pandemic outside China and next to Italy.  As of March 17, Spain has now 7,843 confirmed cases with 292 deaths.
