Manila  -  City  Mayor Isko Moreno on Wednesday implores to the national government to stop requiring the citizens of the Philippines to wear face shields outside their homes amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

" We are the only country in the world which still requires wearing a face shield outside homes. We should reconsider this. We have learned a lot. We should adjust." Moreno said in a statement

The city also added that face shield should only be worn once inside medical facilities such as clinics and hospitals.

The government last year required every citizen to wear face shield on top of the face mask amid the rising cases of Covid-19.
