The Diocese of Scranton has found Monsignor Joseph P. Kelly guilty of the sexual abuse of two minors.

By Edward Era Barbacena

Catholic priest Joseph P. Kelly is guilty under canon law of the sexual abuse of two minors.

The Diocese of Scranton announced the findings on Tuesday, ending a four-year disciplinary process.

Seven individuals alleged that Kelly had sexually abused them as children prior to October of 2020, the Diocese said. Kelly was placed on administrative leave at that time.

By January 2023, the diocese received an additional allegation against Kelly.

The Diocese found five of the eight allegations credible, and Bishop of Scranton Joseph C. Bambera was authorized to begin a trial process found in canon law.

The Diocese found Kelly guilty of two of those accusations. According to Tuesday's statement, Kelly could have appealed the decision, but did not do so.

"As Bishop of the Diocese of Scranton, I continue to apologize for the pain that has been inflicted upon far too many young people by leaders of our Church," Bambera said in the statement. "I thank the victims in this case for stepping forward and continue to pray daily for their healing."

Kelly is "immediately and permanently" barred from performing any priestly ministry and prohibited from wearing clerical attire or presenting himself as a priest. The Vatican authorized Bambera to impose the penalty, short of dismissing Kelly, from the "clerical state" due to his age.

Organizers of Paris Olympics that featured satanic woke homosexuals says "sorry" for mocking Christianity

By Edward Era Barbacena

A banquet sequence featuring carnal and satanic drag artists in particular came in for criticism from Christian groups, who felt it parodied Leonardo da Vinci's painting 'The Last Supper'.

That famous 15th Century work depicts a key biblical scene.

The Catholic Church in France was among critics, saying the ceremony featured "scenes of derision and mockery of Christianity".

A US telecommunications company, C Spire, said it would be pulling its advertising around the Olympic Games after being "shocked by the mockery of the Last Supper during the opening ceremonies".

The ceremony's artistic director, Thomas Jolly, said there was no intention to "mock or denigrate anyone" and explained the scene in question was designed to reference pagan gods.

"Clearly there was never an intention to show disrespect to any religious group," Paris 2024 spokeswoman Anne Descamps told reporters on Sunday.

"On the contrary, I think Thomas Jolly did try to intend to celebrate community tolerance. We believe this ambition was achieved. If people have taken any offence, we of course are really sorry."

Jolly told French broadcaster BFM: "The idea was to do a big pagan party linked to the gods of Olympus.

"You'll never find in my work any desire to mock or denigrate anyone. I wanted a ceremony that brings people together, that reconciles, but also a ceremony that affirms our Republican values of liberty, equality and fraternity."

The allegations against Matthew Marshall are offensive and absolutely not in line with the policies and values

By Edward Era Barbacena

A Cape Cod police officer who was arrested after his shift on Wednesday on child pornography charges has been relieved of duty.

Brewster Police Chief Heath J. Eldredge announced Thursday that Officer Matthew Marshall is on administrative leave pending the outcome of an ongoing internal affairs investigation.

“The allegations against Matthew Marshall are offensive and absolutely not in line with the policies and values of the Brewster Police Department,” Eldredge said in a statement. “These actions do not represent the standards of the hardworking members of the Department. Our officers stand committed to serving the community with integrity and are dedicated to building and maintaining public trust.”

Marshall is charged with possession of child pornography, dissemination of child pornography, defacement of real or personal property, unlawful communication of record information, and photos taken outside of first responder’s official duties, Cape & Islands District Attorney Robert J. Galibois said.

Marshall’s license to carry a firearm was also suspended and his service weapon has been confiscated, according to Galibois’ office.

Eldredge said Marshall was hired by the Brewster Police Department as a dispatcher in 2005 and as an officer in 2007.

Massachusetts Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission was notified of Marshall’s arrest and could take action regarding his certification to work as a police officer.

Marshall was slated to face a judge in Orleans District Court on Thursday.

American paedophile and baptist pastor arrested for raping 15-year-old niece

Christopher Whitehead has served as a Mount Olive Primitive Baptist pastor for two years . He also has nine children.

By Edward Era Barbacena

The Gainesville Police Department arrested a pastor Sunday on suspicion of raping his 15-year-old niece, who was booked into UF Health Shands Hospital for examination a day after the incident.

Christopher Whitehead has served as a Mount Olive Primitive Baptist pastor for two years with experience in the church’s youth department. He also has nine children.

Originally from Tallahassee, Whitehead’s 15-year-old niece and other family members visited Gainesville to celebrate the two-year anniversary of Whitehead being at the church, staying in a home attached to the church lot.

His niece asked her cousins if they could send money to her on Cash App, to which they declined. She later went into the master bedroom to ask Whitehead for money and found him lying in bed. Upon informing her he wouldn’t send her money, Whitehead asked his niece to sleep in the same bed as him, to which she said yes and grabbed her charger and melatonin, according to the arrest report.

Whitehead put his hand on the girl’s waist as she faced away from him, and she pushed his hand away. He eventually pulled his niece closer to him and proceeded to rape her. Upon Whitehead asking her pain level, she said it was a “10” out of 10, to which he continued to rape her, according to the arrest report.

One of Whitehead’s children opened the door and his niece quickly left to “needing a drink” as a means to escape.

The 15-year-old told Dawandera Whitehead, her uncle’s wife, about the incident. In front of the victim, she confronted Christopher Whitehead, to which he asked if anything could be fixed and if he could speak with his niece privately. His wife said no.

When Whitehead and his wife were alone, he apologized for the situation and his role in putting them there. When taken into custody, he denied harming the girl.

Whitehead’s wife said she had never witnessed her husband invite a child to sleep in his bed prior to the incident during the entirety of their marriage.

Whitehead was charged with sexual assault of a minor. His priors include minor traffic violations.

Dominique Howard-Bernard, a church-goer who serves on the Youth Usher Board, said she was distraught to hear the news. He had previously been well-perceived at the church for his “uplifting” attitude until now.

“This is very heart[breaking] as a member of the church and has me feeling crazy because he [was] supposed to be the sheep of the church and lead people to the lord,” she wrote in a text message. “He just needs to be in Hell at this point.”

American paedophile priest and Archdiocese of St. Louis accused of enabling sexual abuse of children for decades

American paedophile priest and Archdiocese of St. Louis accused of enabling sexual abuse of children for decades

By Edward Era Barbacena

The Archdiocese of St. Louis is facing a lawsuit filed Wednesday by 25 individuals blaming the church for enabling, covering up, and concealing children being sexually abused by employees for decades, according to court documents.

The 74-page lawsuit lists at least 30 clergy members under the archdiocese and archbishop that were known to be accused of sexual misconduct, but only released some names.

Among those named in the suit is the current Archbishop of the St. Louis Archdiocese, Mitchell Rozanski. The Archdiocese is also named as well as a John Doe.

Our partners at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported that there will be an additional 35 plaintiffs to join the suit, but they have not filed as of Wednesday night.

Only the plaintiff’s initials are listed in the suit. An attorney for the plaintiffs told the Post Dispatch that it was “for their safety.”

The suit describes alleged abuse that happened as far back as 1945 but it also details more recent alleged abuse as well.

It is said that in September 2018, the church had promised to publicize the names of clergy members who had claims of sexual abuse against them but did not release the names until nearly a year later, in July 2019. There were 66 names released on the list.

It is stated in documents that, “the Archdiocese and Archbishop did not act in any manner to

protect the young children of its parishes, churches, community, and other organizations within its ambit…instead of removing the Abusers from their employ and control and reporting the abuse to authorities as required by law, Defendants enabled and emboldened Abusers to continue perpetrating horrific conduct upon Plaintiffs by giving Defendants’ employees, agents, and servants unfettered access to Plaintiffs and other children.”

According to the court records, those accused of sexual abuse were reassigned to other organizations or parishes, received treatment for a short period of time, or did not have any consequences.

In notes regarding each plaintiff’s experiences with the employees, ages ranged into mid-teens, with the youngest being six years old.

The suit states that the church was “silencing the children abused by threatening them, making them live in secret shame, fear and degradation while then ministering to them psychologically, emotionally and spiritually.”

The Archdiocese told the Post Dispatch partners that it had not yet been served with the suit and needed to review it.

A news conference is scheduled for Thursday at 1:15 p.m.

American father and evil American stepmother of Pennsylvania charged with murder of girl, 12, who was abused, tortured and starved

American father and evil American stepmother of Pennsylvania charged with murder of girl, 12, who was abused, tortured and starved

Autopsy revealed that Malinda Hoagland died of starvation and multiple blunt-force injuries.

By Edward Era Barbacena

Another case of an innocent child in the United States died in the hands of evil white people and the culprits are the biological father and an evil white stepmother.

The father and stepmother of a 12-year-old girl who died after she was allegedly tortured and starved have now been charged with murder, authorities said Thursday.

Chester County District Attorney Christopher de Barrena-Sarobe announced the upgraded charges on Thursday.

The victim, Malinda Hoagland, weighed just 50 pounds at the time of her death.

Rendell Hoagland, 52, and Cindy Warren, 45, of West Caln Twp. are now charged with first-degree murder, kidnapping and hundreds of related offenses.

The two were arrested back in May and are being held without bail. The district attorney's office says it intends to pursue the death penalty.

Malinda was "reprogrammed" to accept abuse as part of her life, de Barrena-Sarobe said during a news conference on Thursday, and she didn't report the abuse because she was afraid of being beaten more severely than she already was.

The investigation has uncovered records of abuse dating back to November 2021, the D.A. said.

Despite the suffering she allegedly experienced at home, de Barrena-Sarobe said Malinda excelled at school and was awarded 'Student of the Month' by her cyber school about two months before she died.

Malinda was admitted to the hospital on May 4. Investigators say her father reported that she struck a tree while riding a bicycle at 12:30 a.m.

Investigators have said that even if that were true, it would in no way explain the extent of her injuries and emaciated state.

Malinda died while in surgery. An autopsy revealed that she died of starvation and multiple blunt-force injuries.

Approximately 75 bruises, contusions, ulcers and pressure sores were identified on her body, the D.A. said.

Investigators say evidence obtained through search warrants revealed hundreds of videos and still images on the suspects' cellphones and Blink security cameras.

According to the D.A., the videos show Malinda shackled to furniture, enduring physical abuse, and being subjected to forced stress positions and physical punishment.

She was also allegedly forced to exercise, de Barrena-Sarobe said Thursday, and that the autopsy showed she had "no sign of body fat on her."

She had damage to virtually every major organ system in her body, including her brain, de Barrena-Sarobe said.

The videos also show Malinda was often ankle-cuffed to furniture and verbally berated by the suspects through an in-camera speaker while they were not physically present.

Text messages and conversations between Hoagland and Warren show that Malinda was punished for infractions like forgetting chores or schoolwork, "stealing" food, not smiling during school sessions over Zoom, and urinating herself while cuffed to furniture, the D.A. said.

The two often texted about concealing injuries from concerned family members and mandated reporters, according to the D.A.

Malinda was removed from in-person schooling in November of 2023, the D.A. said, and school records establish that Malinda had approximately 25 unexcused absences in 2023 and an additional 10 excused absences.

After being pulled from school at the end of 2023, Malinda attended a cyber school, according to the D.A.

"There is no indication that either school failed to meet legal requirements to report abuse - in fact, there is evidence that teachers at both schools often checked in with Malinda," the D.A.'s office said

American family annihilator Chris Watts blames her carnal mistress Nichol Kessinger for compelling him to murder his family for her

Chris Watts and Nichol Kessinger dated for months before he killed his family

By Edward Era Barbacena

American family annihilator Chris Watts is blaming his former mistress for his decision to brutally murder his wife and two little girls — and only refers to her as “Jezebel.”

The Post has obtained several handwritten notes from the 39-year-old Watts, who is serving a life sentence in a small cell at Dodge Correctional Institution.

In one letter, dated March 2020, Watts wrote a prayer of confession. “The words of a harlot have brought me low,” he wrote. “Her flattering speech was like drops of honey that pierced my heart and soul. Little did I know that all her guests were in the chamber of death.”

“How did I let this happen?” he continued. “The blessings you have bestowed upon me were right in front of me, and still I followed the perfume of a strange woman.”

Watts shared most of his thoughts with Dylan Tallman, a fellow prisoner at the Wisconsin lockup who befriended Watts. Tallman was in the cell next to Watts, and the two men became close.

“We started talking,” Tallman says. “We had a lot of very long conversations, spiritual conversations.”

Tallman was in prison for possession of narcotics when he met Watts. Although he has served his sentence, he is now serving four months for driving on a suspended license, which was a probation violation.

They began studying the Bible together, with Watts even calling Tallman his “spiritual twin.” While tabloids speculated that their relationship had turned sexual, Tallman flatly denies that.

“No, that was someone just making things up,” he told The Post. “We were studying the Scriptures together.”

They began studying the Bible together, with Watts even calling Tallman his “spiritual twin.” They studied the Scriptures together and talked daily, often encouraging each other about the hardships of life behind bars.

Darrell Wayne Lang recorded himself "repeatedly and consistently" sexually abusing two children over the course of seven years

By Edward Era Barbacena

A white-American pervert man who recorded himself "repeatedly and consistently" sexually abusing two children over the course of seven years will spend the rest of his life in prison, according to the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office.

Darrell Wayne Lang, 52, was convicted of continuous sexual abuse of a child on July 23, 2024. A judge handed down the life sentence that same day.

An undercover operation with the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce uncovered Lang's crimes. Lang reportedly sent an undercover detective child pornography and told the detective he had sexually abused multiple children. A forensic analysis of Lang's electronic devices uncovered the man's consistent abuse of two children over seven years.

"While most children are learning to ride their bikes or asking to go to the park, this Defendant was exploiting their innocence, teaching them to engage in acts that would make any adult recoil in horror," Chief prosecutor Brittney Aaron said.

The Montgomery County DA's Office also said Lang had hundreds of photos and videos of child pornography that he had gotten online.

"I am very intentional when I use the word 'monster' to name Darrell W. Lang," said Montgomery County District Attorney Brett Ligon. "He terrorized and then victimized these innocent little babies."

According to the DA's office, Montgomery County's investigation into Lang led to more investigations in Harris and Liberty counties. The abuse of at least one of the children took place in Liberty County, where Lang was ultimately found guilty and sentenced to life in prison without eligibility for parole.

American Baptist Pastor Charged After Hitting Wife on Flight, Told Police He Was Upset That She Was Upgraded to 1st Class Without Him

American Baptist Pastor Charged After Hitting Wife on Flight, Told Police He Was Upset That She Was Upgraded to 1st Class Without Him

Roger Allan Holmberg Sr. faces a simple assault charge after allegedly hitting his wife in the head on the July 2 flight.

By Edward Era Barbacena

A white-American baptist pastor faces a federal assault charge after allegedly hitting his wife during an Alaska Airlines flight because she was upgraded to first class without him, authorities said.

The alleged incident occurred on Alaska Airlines flight 275 from Seattle to Anchorage, Alaska, on July 2, according to a criminal complaint reviewed by PEOPLE. Roger Allan Holmberg Sr. and his wife, whose name was not provided, had been traveling from Virginia for an event related to their ministry, the complaint states.

Holmberg formerly worked as pastor at the Grace Baptist Temple in Anchorage, KKTV and Alaska News Source reported.

In a statement to PEOPLE, Alaska Airlines said, “We can confirm that Mr. Holmberg has been banned from our flights and a simple assault charge was filed against him by the U.S. Gov’t. (FBI) on July 3rd.

According to the complaint, Holmberg allegedly told his wife of 18 months, “How the hell did you get the upgrade?” The woman responded, “I'm a gold point member. Don't speak to me like that.”

Holmberg then handed his phone to his wife from the aisle, telling her to read it before giving her the middle finger, the complaint states. After that, a witness claimed they saw Holmberg “swing his arm” towards the woman. “[The witness] leaned forward to block the attempted strike, but [Holmberg] still appeared to strike the top of the victim’s head with his hand,” the complaint reads.

According to the complaint, another witness said they heard two passengers in the first class cabin being disruptive, with a woman saying, “You cannot be doing that.” Holmberg then headed to the first-class bathroom and when he got out, the witness told him, “if there were any further incidents, we would put him in handcuffs," the complaint states.

In an interview with police, Holmberg allegedly said he was “upset” that his wife had been upgraded to first class because he wanted her to travel with him and sit next to him, further claiming he “was not a violent person” and “did not intend to hurt his wife,” according to the complaint.

Holmberg claimed he “tapped his wife on the head in passing to get her attention,” the complaint states. He added that he was “not sure how others would interpret his interactions with his wife,” the complaint alleged.

He also allegedly told authorities that the two had been going to marriage counseling and that his wife was “disrespectful to him often and had anger issues.” Holmberg detailed an alleged incident when his wife grabbed his leg while he was driving and broke her finger.

According to the complaint, Holmberg’s wife allegedly told police that her husband had “a history of abusing her and had broken her finger in an incident last September.”

She alleged that during the flight, Holmberg “struck her in the head with the back of his knuckles” while she was seated in the first-class cabin, the complaint states. The alleged victim added that “[Holmberg] knew she had epilepsy and that contact to [her] head could cause a seizure.”

The flight crew notified law enforcement after learning of the alleged incident and Holmberg was arrested on a simple assault charge at Anchorage Airport, according to the complaint. He was subsequently taken to Anchorage Correctional Center but was later released on multiple conditions.

According to an order setting conditions of release reviewed by PEOPLE, a judge ordered Holmberg to not come within 100 yards of the alleged victim’s home or job, agree to submit a DNA sample and appear in court, among other conditions.

It’s unclear if Holmberg has entered a plea and records show his public defender was terminated on July 8. According to court records, his next court appearance is scheduled for July 29.

Racist white-American cop Sean Grayson of Illinois indicted on 3 counts of first degree murder of unarmed Black-American woman

Racist white-American cop Sean Grayson of Illinois indicted on 3 counts of first degree murder of unarmed Black-American woman

Sonya Massey was just one of innocent Black-Americans murdered by racist cop in their own home

By Edward Era Barbacena

CNN: Body-camera footage showing the fatal police shooting of Sonya Massey, a 36-year-old Black woman who had called 911 for help, was released Monday in a case that has led to murder charges against a deputy.

The 36-minute video released via the Illinois State Police includes body-camera footage from each of the two Sangamon County sheriff’s deputies who responded to Massey’s house after midnight on July 6 after Massey called 911 to report a possible “prowler” at her home in Springfield, according to a court document filed by prosecutors.

In the footage, deputy Sean Grayson and another deputy speak calmly with Massey in her home when she goes to the stove to turn off a pot of boiling water. She then picks up the pot and the other deputy steps back, “away from your hot steaming water,” he says.

“I rebuke you in the name of Jesus,” she says in response.

“Huh?” the deputy says.

“I rebuke you in the name of Jesus,” she repeats.

“You better f**king not or I swear to God I’ll f**king shoot you in the f**king face,” Grayson says.

The release of the video comes about two weeks after the fatal shooting and just days after Grayson was charged in her death..

Grayson, 30, was indicted by a grand jury last week on three counts of first-degree murder and one count each of aggravated battery with a firearm and official misconduct. He has entered a not guilty plea and was denied pretrial release, according to court records.

Massey is one of a number of Black women who have been killed by police in their own homes in recent years, including Breonna Taylor and Atatiana Jefferson. In a news conference Monday afternoon, civil rights attorney Ben Crump, who represents Massey’s family, connected her death to other cases of police violence against Black people across the US.

“Until we get justice for Sonya Massey, we rebuke this discriminatory criminal justice system in the name of Jesus,” he said.

Grayson did not activate his body camera until after he fatally shot Massey, according to charging documents. The other deputy had activated his body camera when he first arrived at the scene, the documents state.

According to footage from the other deputy’s body camera, the incident began with the deputies walking around Massey’s yard and finding a vehicle with broken windows. They then knock on the door and speak with her, and she struggles to understand and answer some questions about the vehicle and about herself.

As they speak in her living room, the deputies note the pot on the lit stove and one says, “we don’t need a fire while we’re here.” Massey gets up and turns off the stove and the shooting then follows.

Immediately after the shooting, the video records Grayson telling his partner Massey would not need medical help.

The other deputy says he’s going to get a medical kit to help, but Grayson responds, “Nah, she’s done. You can go get it but that’s a headshot.”

Grayson later goes to his vehicle to get his own medical supplies. When he gets back to the house, he asks if there’s anything he can do, but is told no.

“All right, I’m not even gonna waste my med stuff then,” Grayson says.

Next, Grayson leaves the house and speaks to a group of law enforcement officers outside. “Yeah I’m good, this f**king b*tch is crazy,” he says, according to the footage.

In the news conference Monday, along with members of her family, Crump said Massey had mental health challenges but was not aggressive toward the deputies.

“She needed a helping hand,” he said. “She didn’t need a bullet to the face.”

Massey’s father, James Wilburn, said he initially received conflicting information from law enforcement.

“I was under the impression that a prowler had broken in and killed my baby. Never did they say that it was a deputy-involved shooting until my brother read it on the internet,” Wilburn said at the news conference.

“We were led to believe that the intruder – or someone from the neighborhood – may have killed her. We were absolutely shocked to find out that it was a deputy who shot her,” Wilburn told CNN’s Laura Coates on Monday night.

“You’re used to having ‘the talk’ with boys, but now I guess we have to talk to our girls about … their interactions with the police,” Wilburn said.

Wilburn said that his daughter’s death had left him heartbroken.

“Sonya was a daddy’s girl. She never ended a conversation – whether by text or telephone or in person – without saying, ‘Daddy, I love you.’ And that’s the last message I have from my daughter that’s saved on my voicemail, was ‘Daddy, I love you’,” he said.

Crump told Laura Coates that he expected the release of the video showing the “heinous killing of this innocent woman” to galvanize the community.

“It’s so senseless. I mean, it is disturbing. This video is reminiscent in the last presidential cycle in 2020 when the George Floyd video, you know, encouraged our community to act.

“And in this 2024 election I believe this Sonya Massey video is going to encourage our community to act – because Sonya Massey deserved better than this,” Crump said.

Since the shooting, local and state officials have criticized the deputy’s actions as an unjustified use of deadly force.

A review of the Illinois State Police investigation into the shooting “does not support a finding that … Grayson was justified in his use of deadly force,” the state’s attorney for the county, John Milhiser, said in a July 17 news release.

In a court document filed by the state last week, prosecutors said a “use-of-force” expert had reviewed the body-camera footage and concluded the use of deadly force was not justified.

“(The expert) likened the scenario to an officer intentionally and unnecessarily putting himself in front of a moving vehicle and then justifying use of force because of fear of being struck,” the prosecutors wrote.

The sheriff’s office said it has fired Grayson. “It is clear that the deputy did not act as trained or in accordance with our standards,” the office said.

CNN experts offered similar analysis.

“Effective policing comes down to good judgment in highly stressful situations,” said Josh Campbell, CNN security correspondent and former federal agent. “Although being doused with scalding water could warrant the use of deadly force by an officer to stop a threat, in this video we certainly don’t see officers attempting alternative options, such as moving away and creating distance between themselves and Massey.”

“There were a number of ways to avoid this starting with better tactics from the outset,” said CNN Chief Law Enforcement and Intelligence Analyst John Miller, “but even if you forgive that and limit the observations to the last few seconds, there were still options of a calmer dialogue, more distance between the subject and them, a taser rather than a firearm.”

Grayson had worked at six different law enforcement agencies in Illinois since 2020, according to the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board.

He began working part-time at the Pawnee Police Department in August 2020, then moved to the Kincaid and Virden police departments, before taking up full-time work with the Auburn Police Department then the Logan County Sheriff’s Office and – in May 2023 – Sangamon County.

It is unclear why Grayson changed jobs so frequently and CNN has reached out to the other law enforcement agencies for more information.

The training and standards board records show his Law Enforcement Certification has since been suspended.

A petition calling for an investigation into why Sangamon County hired Grayson was circulated at a march and barbecue in Springfield on Monday night, CNN affiliate WICS reported.

Several hundred people attended the gathering in honor of Massey, WICS said.

“It was very powerful just seeing all of the people come out from our community. Different ages, different races, different sexual orientations all coming together for one cause, which is to get justice for Sonya Massey,” organizer Tiara Standage told WICS.

President Joe Biden said in a statement Monday that Massey’s family “deserves justice.”

“I am heartbroken for her children and her entire family as they face this unthinkable and senseless loss. Jill and I mourn with the rest of the country and our prayers are with Sonya’s family, loved ones, and community during this devastating time,” Biden said in a written statement.

“I commend the swift actions that were taken by the Springfield state’s attorney’s office. While we wait for the case to be prosecuted, let us pray to comfort the grieving. Congress must pass the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act now. Our fundamental commitment to justice is at stake,” the president added.

Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul issued a statement Monday saying the footage was “horrific” and offering his sympathy to Massey’s family.

“As the community reacts to the release of the footage, I urge calm as this matter works its way through the criminal justice system,” he said.

“In Illinois we have made sure that the law mandates independent investigations after officer involved shootings. In this matter it appears that the investigation by the Illinois State Police and the subsequent referral to the Sangamon County state’s attorney’s office have complied with the letter and spirit of the law by providing the appropriate transparency and moving toward accountability,” Raoul added.

A former Florida Keys pastor is facing charges of child sexual abuse and child pornography after police discovered depraved images of his crimes, according to prosecutors.

Jonathan Elwing — who was pastor at Islamorada's First Baptist Church for seven years before he joined Palm View First Baptist Church in Manatee County — was arrested on June 20 on more than a dozen capital felony charges including two counts of sexual battery, six counts of production of child sexual abuse material, and six counts of possession of child sexual abuse material.

On July 10, he was indicted by a grand jury on the charge of sexually battery of a child.

"This is a monster," Manatee County Sheriff Rick Wells said of Elwing said during a press conference.

The investigation began when detectives received a tip that Elwing had allegedly used cryptocurrency money to buy child porn on the dark web. Deputies obtained a search warrant, which led to the discovery of images on the 43-year-old's cell phone of him sexually battering a toddler, according to court documents.

While Elwing told police that he sometimes bought adult pornography, and claimed to have deleted any child sexual abuse material that "may get mixed in," investigators allege that a forensic search of his phone revealed several child porn images.

Prosecutors say police found that he had sexually abused a 2-year-old infant and recorded it. He had been using private photo vault app to hide more than a dozen photos of him sexually abusing the child, prosecutors allege.

In Florida, a person found guilty of sexually assaulting a child faces life in prison without the possibility of parole.

According to Elwing's LinkedIn, he was a pastor at the First Baptist Church of Islamorada from December 2012 to November 2019 before becoming a pastor at Palm View First Baptist Church.

He reportedly resigned from his recent role prior to his June arrest.

"Right now, the concern is: are there other potential victims given his close contact with children as a leader of the church," Mark Morie, a Manatee County Sheriff's Office lieutenant, said.

The Visayan homosexual who all of a sudden becomes infamous Jude Bacalso has explained the viral photo which shows him allegedly berating a member of the wait staff of a restaurant in a Cebu Mall. In the photo, Bacalso was seated while the wait staff was standing.

The Cebu-based personality and LGBTQ+ community member explained to GMA News Online on the phone that he actually asked the waiter if he wanted to sit down and relax. "He shook his head and remained standing," Bacalso said. "I didn't say 'stay there.' I also didn't demand."

The Visayan homosexual TV personality Bacalso is under fire for allegedly berating a restaurant wait staff for calling him "sir."

But Bacalso acknowledged "It was an honest mistake on his [the wait staff's] part."

"There was no malice. I knew there was no malice. So I took it as an opportunity to educate,"

It was while he was "giving gender sensitivity information to the waiter" that a netizen snapped a photo of the two.

Bacalso added, "It was a calm conversation between us," adding he was giving information "not in a loud and berating manner."

On Facebook Monday, Bacalso issued a statement, where he emphasized "that I did not demand that the waiter stand for the whole length of time."

"It was he who chose to stand in front of me as we waited for input from management, who I attempted to contact," she said.

According to Bacalso, he had already sat down with the restaurant's management to "quietly settle the matter." The waiter he had a disagreement with was not present.

In his stead was "a crew member and the store supervisor" who were at the scene last Sunday. "After each one of us aired our sides, I am happy to share that we have agreed to pursue together more inclusive practices in the restaurant," Bacalso said.

He also made sure to say sorry "to the rest of the staff who are disheartened by the way things have escalated, as well as to the customers present at that time."

"This is a huge chunk of humble pie that I must ingest, because I have erred," he added. "May we start here with, as the supervisor pointed out, an uphill path to reconciliation."

In his statement, Bacalso acknowledged "I could have done with a little measure of kindness, sadly quite absent in the ruckus this has all unnecessarily created when it was made public without our knowledge."

"I made a personal apology to the group present, and requested if I may do so for the concerned waiter. I am also making it very public with this post, as it has become quite public fodder," he said.

Bacalso's statement has already been shared more than 4.6K times and has attracted over 5K comments. It has generated 28K reactions as of writing.

Meanwhile, the Cebu restaurant, Ulli's Streets of Asia, has released a couple of statements following the "altercation." On Monday, Ulli's said they had spoken with their staff "educating our people and place their welfare of utmost priority."

"Likewise, we express our apologies to our guests. Your concerns are well noted and will help us move forward towards a better customer experience," Ulli's said, adding "discrimination has no place in our restaurant."
