A white-American pervert man who recorded himself "repeatedly and consistently" sexually abusing two children over the course of seven years will spend the rest of his life in prison, according to the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office.
Darrell Wayne Lang, 52, was convicted of continuous sexual abuse of a child on July 23, 2024. A judge handed down the life sentence that same day.
An undercover operation with the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce uncovered Lang's crimes. Lang reportedly sent an undercover detective child pornography and told the detective he had sexually abused multiple children. A forensic analysis of Lang's electronic devices uncovered the man's consistent abuse of two children over seven years.
"While most children are learning to ride their bikes or asking to go to the park, this Defendant was exploiting their innocence, teaching them to engage in acts that would make any adult recoil in horror," Chief prosecutor Brittney Aaron said.
The Montgomery County DA's Office also said Lang had hundreds of photos and videos of child pornography that he had gotten online.
"I am very intentional when I use the word 'monster' to name Darrell W. Lang," said Montgomery County District Attorney Brett Ligon. "He terrorized and then victimized these innocent little babies."
According to the DA's office, Montgomery County's investigation into Lang led to more investigations in Harris and Liberty counties. The abuse of at least one of the children took place in Liberty County, where Lang was ultimately found guilty and sentenced to life in prison without eligibility for parole.
