Philippine Catholic Priest Robert Reyes Held a Mass for the Drug Addicts and Criminals Killed in Duterte's War on Drugs

Philippine Political News

Catholic priest Robert Reyes who is also known as the running priest denounce President Duterte's action mock Leni Robredo in relation to the war on drugs.  Once again a Catholic clergy dared to stand against the administration despite being condemned by millions of law abiding and Pro-Democracy citizens for meddling in the government's political affairs.

Manila, Philippines - Catholic priest Robert Reyes together with a well known communist activist Albert Alejo lead a group of militants to march and held a protests mass at the foot of Mendiola peace arch earlier today.

The purpose of the mass protest is to denounce the President's action to ridicule Leni Robredo after criticising the government's unyielding war on drugs by making her as a drug czar for six months.  The running priest stated that the President was luring her into a trap that infact many would not support her and will be out into shame if she fails.

The movement also offered prayers to those criminals and drug addicts around 30,000  killed in the summary executions in the war against drugs.  Militans to participated seemed to have copied the style of the Hong Kong protesters. Majority of them were in black - clad and wearing masks.

Apparently the mass protests lead by the running priest and other pro-communists figures didn't get much support and were ignored by the majority of law abiding citizens who are apparently strong Supporters of the President.  In fact they were highly criticized and condemned.

People have accused Reverent Robert Reyes and the Catholic Church for being a one-sided and only care for the welfare of the cold blooded criminals and drug addicts and neglect the safety of the common people.  For the past few decades, crimes brought about by illegal drugs was to prevalent and there was a significant declined when  Duterte came into power. In fact, in the latest survey, more than 80 percent of the law abiding citizens of the Philippines were very much satisfied on the government's war on drugs.
