Young Filipino actor Sandro Muhlach has filed a complaint against two homosexual predators working as “independent contractors” of Philippine largest TV network - GMA, Jojo Nones and Richard Cruz.
Muhlach is with GMA’s talent agency Sparkle and is also the son of actor Niño Muhlach.
Nones is a head writer and showrunner, while Cruz is a writer and creative head.
GMA, in its statement, did not reveal the subject of Muhlach’s complaint.
“Respecting Sandro’s request for confidentiality, the investigating body will withhold all details of the formal investigation until its conclusion,” it said.
It also said it had started its own investigation prior to the filing of the formal complaint, “recognizing the seriousness of the alleged incident.”
“The Network assures the public and all stakeholders of its commitment to conducting this investigation with the highest standards of fairness and impartiality,” it added.
GMA earlier said it would launch a thorough and impartial probe should a complaint be filed over the alleged incident involving its artist and independent contractors.
Social media posts have alleged that a young artist was subjected to sexual assault following the GMA Gala, an glitzy event attended by the network’s stars and executives.
Niño Muhlach’s partner, Diane Abbey Tupaz, earlier shared a post raging against the harassment of their children and vowing to get justice over this incident.
“Hindi kami makakapayag na hindi namin makakamit ang hustisya! habang buhay na dadalhin ng anak namin yung kababuyan na ginawa nyo sa kanya! wala kaming pakialam kung sino kayo o kung sino ang poprotekta sa inyo (We will not let ourselves be denied justice! Our child will forever carry the scars of what you did to him. We don’t care who you are or who is protecting you),” Tupaz said.
