Even the province of Laguna has declared persona non grata against Pura Luka Vega after the drag queen's controversial "Ama Namin" drag performance.

In a Facebook post on Monday, August 14, Laguna board member Christian Niño Lajara shared the alleged decision of all members of the Laguna Provincial Council to declare Pura persona non grata in their province.

"As leaders of our province, it is our duty to uphold the values ​​of respect and dignity towards our fellow individuals. We should not tolerate any attacks or disrespect towards our cultures and beliefs," said Lajara.

"By declaring Persona Non Grata, we are reminding everyone that being a celebrity or personality should never be an excuse to offend or insult our traditions and beliefs," he said.

Aside from Laguna, Pura has also been declared persona non grata in other areas of the country such as Manila, Nueva Ecija, Cagayan de Oro City, Bukidnon, General Santos City in South Cotabato, Floridablanca in Pampanga, and Toboso in Negros Occidental .
