The Coronavirus Pandemic News - India
As the Coronavirus continues to ravages the world, people are advised to wear masks to somehow help to slow down the spread of the Coronavirus. Wearing mask is a sign of mutual respect during the pandemic. It will protect other people as you are being protected from acquiring Covid-19 when they do the same. Since the outbreak emerged from Wuhan, there is been a huge demand for masks. Perhaps the most unique and expensive mask there is can be found in India.
In Pune, a 48 year old Shankar Kuharde wears his mask made out of gold as he poses for photo shoot amid the pandemic in India which earned alot of criticisms. According to Kuharde, he paid around $4,000 to customize a his precious mask to protect him from the Coronavirus but admits of uncertainty if it's effective. The gold layer of the mask weighs around 60 grams ( 2 ounces ) and it took around 8 days for the goldsmith to finish the golden mask, said businessman Kuharde.
"It is a thin mask and has very tiny porse that is helping me to breathe." Kuharde told the media.
"I'm not sure if this will protect me from the Coronavirus infection but I'm taking other precautions." Kuharde added.
"Kuharde also mentioned to the media that everytime he goes out, he really likes to adorn himself with different sorts of gold jewelries like necklace, bracelet and ring on each finger of his right hand. People become awestruck everytime they see him wearing a golden mask in public places.
Since the Coronavirus cases soar in India, wearing masks has become mandatory to somehow to slow down cross contamination from one person to another since the nationwide lockdown didn't help to curb the spread. As of July 5, India has 673,165 of confirmed cases with a total fatalities of 19,268.

It is important that everyone should be aware that wearing mask during the Covid-19 pandemic will help to limit the spread of the dreadful virus and shows respect to the people around us. As we struggle to endure through this hellish situation brought by the Coronavirus virus,. It is indeed very disappointing and more frustrating to quite many people are not adhering to the mask ordinance implemented by the national government. In the absence of the police, everytime you go out to buy some necessary stuffs, you see people blatantly not wearing masks and are not even practicing physical distancing despite of the strong encouragement by the authorities. You see people congregating in public places and obviously don't have any facial coverings and even if they do, they're not even wearing it properly. Their noses are exposed.
The Coronavirus doesn't care if you don't believe that wearing mask will help you avoid getting. Once you are exposed and it enters your system through your nostrils, you already have it. And once you have it and you don't wear any protection, you are spreading the virus and placing the people around you at a greater risks. Coronavirus lays in wait to be transferred from one person to another, as the number of asymptomatic people are getting dramatically high, the chances of getting infected by the Covid-19 is based on out activities and behaviors. This is why it's very disappointing you other people venturing out not wearing masks. Let's take the example of the United States. Recently, there has been so many major protests since the so-called stay at home order. There was the anti-lockdown protests by the Trump supporters and now the George Floyd murder protests by the Black lives matter movement. Since the different protests ignited, the Covid-19 cases have skyrocketed to more one million with fatalities of more than 120 thousands. Many of these protesters were seen not adhering to the social distancing guidelines and ignored the wearing of mask ordinance specially among the anti-lockdown protesters. In Hongkong, things turned out different. Despite of the recent protests by the prodemocracy movements against the National Security Law of Beijing, the Covid-19 cases didn't spike and is still relativity low. That is because protesters wore mask. Not only that, wearing masks has become a habit of the people of Hongkong since the Coronavirus outbreak emerged from Wuhan.
Off course we can't wear masks forever or stock ourselves in our homes while the lockdown or quaratine is being carried out. It is highly understood that everyone of us wanted to go back to our normal lives, go back to work, go back to school and explore the world once again. But the question of how long this will go on will depend on our behaviors.
The importance of adhering to the social distancing guidelines, stay at home order and most of all, wearing masks is vital and expedient. According to United States Speaker of the house of the representative Nancy Pelosi, wearing mask will not only protect you but it also protect the people around you. "You wear mask to protect others and others wear masks to protect." Wearing mask is a form mutual respect among people and it is not a form of communist tactics to control the spread of pandemic as the American conspiracy theorists and racists insanely claim. Wearing mask won't take away your freedom or violate your every rights but it will tell the people that you pass on the streets and public places that you respect them.

Coronavirus strain in the Philippines didn't originate from China, expert says
The Covid-19 Pandemic News - Philippines
Manila - The Philippines ranks 3rd as far as the Covid-19 cases in the South East Asia. At first, the WHO commended the Philippine government for successfully containing the outbreak on March but all of the sudden, the cases have blown out of proportion in April when the cases spiked. The opposition, the procommunists and the yellow community blamed President Duterte for not immediately imposing travel ban from China. Many think that the Covid-19 virus was acquired from Chinese who traveled to the Philippines. But the latest finding contradict this perception and says otherwise.
The strain of Covid-19 may originated from India and not from Wuhan, China, a health expert said on Wednesday ( May 20 ). According to Edsel Salvaña, a member of Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Disease ( IAFT-EID ), using publicly shared genome, the most genetically related virus found in the Philippines came from a South Asian nation. India is the most ravaged country in the South Asia and has the highest confirmed cases of Covid-19.
" It is not certain if the Coronavirus really came from an Indian, or it may have also been acquired by traveling to India. But the most related virus like a mother virus that we have here in the Philippines actually originated from India." Salvaña told the media.
The Coronavirus virus strain from India could have caused the outbreak in the Philippines that started in March, he added. Dr. Salvaña said that it could be a Filipino or non Filipino who had travel to India then came to the Philippines and started spreading the disease.
Dr. Salvaña also stressed that the virus' family tree appeared in China. It traveled to Australia before stopping in India. " The one who visited india, came from Australia but before coming to Australia, he traveled to China, so he traveled to those places before coming here to the Philippines," Dr. Salvaña said.
Health experts say that genetic sequencing can help researchers and pathologists understand the mutation of the virus strain, it's orogin and discovery of cure.
