Catholic church in the Philippines turns biased as the clergies wear pink zuccheto to express their support for opposition's presidential aspirant Leni Robredo

THERE SHOULD ALWAYS BE A SEPARATION OF THE CHURCH AND THE STATE

MANILA - The president of the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) on Thursday posted a colorful photo after Vice President Leni Robredo filed her bid for the presidency in the 2022 elections.  Robredo being a member of the infamous  'liberal party' changed their tainted color from yellow to pink.

Since Duterte came into power as the 16th President of the nation, the catholic church has become an antagonist institution against the administration because of the so-called "Duterte's war against drugs" and became a futile ally of the opposition.

Leni Robredo

The 62-year-old Bishop Pablo Virgilio David, recently elected head of the CBCP  used his social media platform and, posted a photo on Facebook of his dark pink zuchetto, which is usually worn by Catholic prelates.

His Facebook post came after Robredo filed her certificate of candidacy for president in the 2022 elections, wearing a pink face mask and ribbon. It is very apparent that he is siding with Robredo and denounce Marcos for his presidential bid.

Many Filipino celebrities also took their social media platform to support for Robredo by posting photographs wearing different sorts of pink apparel.  All of them earned many ires carrying a propaganda to restore ABS-CBN on air if Robredo wins.

We can all remember thar the catholic church vouched for the senatorial candidates of the opposition - the so-called  'ocho direcho'  during the last election in the Philippines but non of them won; they were all snooted by the majority of the Filipinos.
