Another Tourist from the Philippines Assaulted in New York

The attack is unprovoked and racially motivated

The barbaric attacks against Asian - Americans and Asian tourists either by white racists or black prejudice individuals has become a great concern in different parts of the United States and is getting more alarming.  The highest number of such unprovoked hate crimes is in New York. 

An 18-year-old Asian  tourist from Cebu, Philippines was beaten up near the Philippine Center in Manhattan, New York City, said the Philippine consulate general.

This is the 41st criminal act against Filipinos in New York since 2021.

“Based on information received by the Consulate this afternoon, the victim was walking with three other Filipinos near the corner of 6th Avenue and 46th Street when he was assaulted,” the Philippine consulate general in New York said in an advisory dated July 15.

The victim incurred facial injuries from the beating. The suspect was later “subdued and turned over to authorities,” reports Inquirer.net

No racial description of the suspect was given.

The Philippine consulate general is currently coordinating with the New York City Police Department to learn more about the incident, stating it has yet to confirm if the attack was “anti-Asian” in nature.

Following the incident, it again amplified its call for the Filipino community to “exercise the necessary precautions while on the streets or in the subways” of New York City, reports Inquirer.net.

Because of the different reports of hate crimes and other related crimes that are racially motivated has become very common. United States has the greatest number of such unlawful acts.  Because of this, it was reported that the moral values of the Americans specially the white people has been classified as low and poor because of senseless racism. 

For so many decades since the WWII, the United States has become an ideal safe haven specially among Asians who were in pursuit of their so-called American dreams. But after the United States won the cold war against the former Soviet Union, we have seen the racists gradually risen from their filthy burrows and brave enough to show their faces out in the public.  Since then, the land of free has become the global center of hate crimes and white trash.
