Two persons of interest in relation to a December 2 murder in Tillamook Forest have been located in a different state, Oregon authorities say.
Alyssa Z. Sturgill, 40, and Lisa M. Peaslee, 41, were sought by the Tillamook County Sheriff's office in connection to the murder of a 52-year-old man who was found deceased at his campsite in Tillamook Forest.
Sturgill and Peaslee had been living in their car in the forest and vacated the area after the murder. They had also taken the deceased victim's blue Toyota minivan. Police began searching for them shortly after.
TSCO Detectives notified the public on December 4 that they had located Sturgill and Peaslee in Nevada, as well as the stolen minivan.
Detectives announced that it was a major crime investigation and further information would be released when appropriate.
