Communist terrorists supported by the opposition have no place in a democratic country

By Edward Era Barbacena

Manila-The Philippine military under the rule of President Duterte has been very aggressive on gradually eliminating the communist terrorist in the country.  The people specially those who are living in many secluded rural areas grew tried of being harassed by the domestic communist terrorists.

Since Rodrigo Duterte came into power in 2016,  many of these communist rebels have been killed in many encounters with the Philippine army. Duterte vowed to clean the country from the communist sympathizers by eradicating them with brute force.

George “Ka Oris” Madlos, one of the leaders of the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP), died following an encounter with government troops in Bukidnon on Saturday, according to the military.

In a statement, the Philippine Army’s 4th Infantry Division said the encounter, which took place in a mountainous area in Barangay Dumalaguing, Impasugong town around 11:30 a.m., also killed another rebel.

The gun battle between the soldiers and around 30 rebels lasted half an hour.

After the firefight, the military cleared the area and found two dead persons, including Madlos. The soldiers also recovered an M14 rifle, one KG9 rifle, ammunition, other war materiel, and assorted belongings.

The military said they launched an operation against the rebels after they received information that the armed group was “conducting teach-ins and indoctrination” in the community.

“The CNT (CPP-NPA Terrorist) positions were fortified with APMs (anti-personnel mines), hence, we can assume at that time that they were protecting their top leadership. In order to protect our troops, we called for close air support and delivered air strikes towards the CNT positions,” said Brigadier General Ferdinand Barandon, commander of the 403 Brigade.

The military said Madlos was the most wanted New People's Army commander in the country. His criminal cases included robbery with double homicide and damage to properties, multiple murder, and double frustrated murder.

“Ka Oris’ reign of terror has finally ended. Unfortunately, the consequences of his atrocities led to a tragic ending,” said Major General Romeo Brawner Jr., 4ID commander.

“Now, justice has been served for those innocent civilians and their communities he terrorized for several decades. His death could be the final blow for the eventual collapse of the Communist Terrorist Group here in our AOR (area of responsibility),” he added.

Brawner also urged the rebels to return to the fold of the law.

“We will ensure your safety and we will guide you towards a peaceful life. So that you will not suffer the same fate as Ka Oris,” he said

Latest US military hypersonic test fails

Latest US military hypersonic test fails

The Americans are now left behind as Russia and China successfully launched their versions of hypersonic missiles

 By Edward Era Barbacena

The US suffered a setback in the race with China and Russia to develop hypersonic weapons when its latest test failed, the Pentagon said in a statement Thursday.

A booster stack, which is the rocket used to accelerate the projectile to hypersonic speeds, failed and the test of the projectile, the hypersonic glide body, could not proceed, the statement said.
Because the rocket failed the Pentagon was not able to test the hypersonic glide body, which is the key component needed to develop a hypersonic weapon.

Officials have started a review of the test, which took place Thursday at the Pacific Spaceport Complex in Kodiak, Alaska, to understand the cause of the booster failure.

"Experiments and tests -- both successful and unsuccessful -- are the backbone of developing highly complex, critical technologies at tremendous speed, as the department is doing with hypersonic technologies," said Lt. Cdr. Tim Gorman, a Pentagon spokesman, in a statement.

The Pentagon has made developing hypersonic weapons one of its top priorities, particularly as China and Russia are working to develop their own versions. The failure is another blow to the US effort following a failed test in April and comes days after it was reported that China had successfully tested a hypersonic glide vehicle.

Traveling at Mach 5 or faster, hypersonic weapons are difficult to detect, posing a challenge to missile defense systems. Hypersonic missiles can travel at a far lower trajectory than high-arcing ballistic missiles, which can be easily detectable. Hypersonics can also maneuver and evade missile defense systems.

Reports of successful Chinese and Russian test

Over the weekend, the Financial Times reported that China had successfully tested a hypersonic glide vehicle capable of carrying a nuclear weapon. They reported the glide vehicle was launched from an orbital bombardment system. Though China denied the report, saying on Monday that the test was instead a "routine spacecraft experiment.

Defense officials say they are particulary concerned about China developing hypersonic capabilities because they could enable Beijing to launch an attack over the South Pole, evading US missile defenses, which are generally geared toward missiles coming over the North Pole.

Russia has tested a new hypersonic anti-ship
missile that can travel a blistering 6,138 miles
an hour, or 1.7 miles a second. The missile,
known as Zircon, will attack ships at sea and
land-based targets. It is in all likelihood
unstoppable by modern air defenses.

Two weeks ago, Russia claimed to have successfully tested a submarine-launched hypersonic missile for the first time, dubbed the Tsirkon. Earlier this summer, Russia said it had fired the same missile from a warship.

Nevertheless, the Pentagon insists it remains on track to deliver offensive hypersonic weapons in the early 2020s, a timeline that seems more urgent with the advances in hypersonic technology shown off by the Russians and Chinese.
"This flight test is part of an ongoing series of flight tests as we continue to develop this technology," Gorman said.

The failed test of a hypersonic glide body occurred after the Navy and Army earlier this week conducted a series of successful hypersonic measurement tests highlighting the Pentagon's priority of rapidly researching and testing the weapon system. The three joint sounding tests were designed to collect data and carry out hypersonic experiments from DoD partners involved in developing the advanced weapons.

"These launches allow for frequent and regular flight testing opportunities to support rapid maturation of offensive and defensive hypersonic technologies," the Navy said in a statement about the trials.

Those tests, carried out at NASA's Wallops Flight Facility on the Eastern Shore of Virginia, provide data for the development of the services' hypersonic weapons, including the Navy's Conventional Prompt Strike and the Army's Long Range Hypersonic Weapon.
The US is focusing on conventional hypersonic weapons that are based on ships, land and air platforms.

In April, the Air Force's hypersonic missile program suffered a setback when it failed to launch from a B-52. Instead, the AGM-183A Air-launched Rapid Response Weapon (ARRW) remained on the aircraft.

United States alarmed by China's hypersonic missile test

The speed with which the Chinese developed the system surprised US national security officials.

By Edward Era Barbacena

The top US general said China's test of a hypersonic weapon over the summer was "very concerning" and that "it has all of our attention."

Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Mark Milley, speaking to Bloomberg Television, stopped short of calling the test a "Sputnik moment" but he did acknowledge "it's very close to that." He called the test of the weapon "a very significant technological event" that is just one element of China's military capabilities.

It was the first official acknowledgment of the test from the Pentagon, which has so far declined to comment.

"The Chinese military capabilities are much greater than that" single test, Milley said. "They're expanding rapidly in space, in cyber and then in the traditional domains of land, sea and air."

Earlier this month, the Financial Times reported about a Chinese test of a hypersonic glide vehicle launched from a rocket in low-Earth orbit that could theoretically be capable of evading US missile defense systems. The speed with which the Chinese developed the system surprised US national security officials.

When asked about the Financial Times report, China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Zhao Lijian said the August test was "a spacecraft, not a missile."

"This test was a routine spacecraft experiment to verify the reusable technology of spacecraft, which is of great significance for reducing the cost of spacecraft use. It can provide a convenient and cheap way for humans to use space peacefully. Many companies in the world have carried out similar experiments," Zhao said.

On Wednesday, the US military briefed space and defense companies about national security threats, including hypersonic and anti-satellite weapons, in an attempt to jumpstart private development of future military technologies for the Space Force.

The Space Warfighting Analysis Center (SWAC) shared "the largest amount of threat models that have ever been released" to representatives from roughly 180 companies at a six-hour long, classified "business fair" in Chantilly, Virginia. Hypersonic technology was discussed at the classified event, according to two people in attendance, as well as missile tracking and missile warning.

"This fair was an excellent step forward to partner with industry early," said the CEO of a major defense contractor. "Sharing threat analysis well before final requirements are published so companies can digitally engineer and test capabilities rapidly, ultimately delivering crucial, new advantages in space in months rather than years."

US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has repeatedly emphasized that China is the pacing challenge for the Pentagon as Beijing races to modernize its military. And last week, CIA director Bill Burns said China is the greatest technological threat to the United States

"I think in terms of broad capacity, across the range of emerging technologies, I think China probably today is," Burns said, speaking at Stanford University.

On Wednesday, Pentagon press secretary John Kirby declined to comment further on the test.
"I don't think it does any good for us to characterize this and put a label on it, this advancement of capabilities," Kirby said during a news briefing at the Pentagon on Wednesday.

He said the department has been "clear" about its concerns regarding China's advancements in "certain capabilities."

"We've been very clear about our concerns over China's advancements in certain capabilities, a wide range of capabilities, capabilities that the secretary noted himself do very little to help decrease tensions in the region and beyond, and they're paired with, these advance military capabilities are paired with a foreign and defense policy approach that uses intimidation and coercion of neighboring nations to yield to China's interests," Kirby said.

He said the hypersonic missile test is one of a "suite of concerns" relating to China in the Indo-Pacific region.

"There's a suite of issues with respect to China from the security perspective that deeply concern us about the trajectory about where things are going in the Indo-Pacific," Kirby said. "Taken together, all of those things are reason for concern and are being used to inform the operational concepts that we want to be able to employ."

Unruly anti-Duterte Filipino-American activists disrupt peaceful meeting, caused harm to restaurant employees and damages to the restaurant property in NYC

Unruly anti-Duterte Filipino-American activists disrupt peaceful meeting, caused harm to restaurant employees and damages to the restaurant property in NYC

Witnesses say that they were just as terrible as rioters during the January 6 Capitol insurrection

By Edward Era Barbacena

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque hit back Saturday, Oct. 30 against the militant picketers who denounced his presence in New York in the United States (US).

It was very shocking that the libtard activist that were mostly Filipino-Americans became so unruly that they caused harm against the restaurant employees and damages to the restaurant properties as they try to disrupt a peaceful symposium. They became so infuriated because of a simple presence of a politician from the Philippines who was out in New York for a political business matter.

“We deplore the effort of militant groups to deliberately cause harm to innocent people in their attempt to disrupt a private reception we were tendering for representatives of several foreign missions in New York,” Roque said in a statement sent to Manila-based reporters.

“The militant groups were not content to peacefully rally outside the restaurant, they charged upstairs, in the process injuring two elderly waiters, and causing damage to property,” he added.

A Facebook live video posted Saturday morning (Philippine time) by BAYAN USA captured the events referred to by Roque. The video began with the militants’ attempt to storm the reception at the restaurant.

As restaurant staffer tried to stop the demonstrators from going to the upper floor, one of the latter blurted out, “Harry Roque is a war criminal! He has no place joining the ILC (International Law Commission). We implore everyone inside of the UN (United States) to dismiss his candidacy. He stood idly…(he is a) mouthpiece of the bloody dictatorship in the Philippines (of) President Rodrigo Duterte.”

Its very absurd that these Filipiino-American activists are blinded by the western media would make such baseless claims about what is going on in the Philippines while living half across the globe.  It's very ironic that majority of the Filipinos who are actually ljving in the Philippines strongly support the administration and for them, President Duterte is doing a great job.

A Filipino American woman holding a sign
saying that she's a member of Gabriela based
in the United States.  Many people in Philippines
denounce the presence of Bayan and Gabriela
groups because their members are known to
communist sympathizers

Unsuccessful in their attempt, they subsequently joined their comrades outside the establishment and shouted phrases like “No justice, no peace! Stop the killings in the Philippines!” and “Roque out of ILC, Roque out of NYC!” There were around two dozen demonstrators.

New York police would eventually respond to the scene.

“The restaurant also informed us that the rallyists ordered food and beverage but did not pay for them,” Roque further said in his statement.

The Malacañang official admitted earlier this week that he was in New York. He said that he was “on official visit to the UN on the occasion of the UN International Law Week”.

Last month, Roque also went to New York in a bid to get elected as one of the 34 members of the ILC.

It is very shameful that these people caused such chaotic scene and made attempts to disrupt such peaceful event.  It is understood that they have rights to speak up their minds but to express their nonsensical emotions and to injure the rights of others is totally unacceptable.  They were just as savage as white racist harassing POC

The mother of the three siblings who were found abandoned in a home along with the body of their brother killed by their mom's WHITE lover told CNN affiliate KHOU she checked on her children "every two weeks."

Gloria Y. Williams, 35, told KHOU in an exclusive interview from jail she did not know her 8-year-old son was dead.

Authorities discovered the children -- 7, 9 and 15 years old -- and the body of the fourth child in a Houston apartment on Sunday. The child's cause of death was ruled "homicidal violence with multiple blunt force injuries," according to the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

He is believed to have died around Thanksgiving, Sgt. Dennis Wolford, the lead investigator with the sheriff's homicide unit, said in a news conference.

When she was asked what happened, KHOU reported Williams said, "I'm sorry. I didn't do it."

Williams attempted to "alter, destroy, and conceal... a human corpse," according to a criminal complaint.

She was charged with injury to a child by omission, injury to a child causing serious bodily injury and tampering with evidence involving a human corpse, according to court documents. The bond for those charges totals $900,000.

It is unclear whether Williams has obtained legal representation

Her WHITE boyfriend, Brian W. Coulter, was charged with murder in the death of the 8-year-old child. Coulter, 31, committed a "felony offense of injury to a child by intentionally, knowingly and recklessly causing bodily injury" by striking the child with his hand and kicking the child with his foot, thereby causing the death, according to charging documents filed by the Harris County District Attorney's Office.

Bond for Coulter has been set at $1 million. Conditions include no contact with Williams or anyone younger than 17. CNN has been unable to determine whether he has secured an attorney.

Blood-sucking eel with rows of swirling teeth spotted after 20-year hunt

Blood-sucking eel with rows of swirling teeth spotted after 20-year hunt

By Edward Era Barbacena

A terrifying blood-sucking eel with rows of swirling teeth has finally been spotted after a 20-year hunt.
Tour guide Sean Blocksidge extraordinarily discovered six of the lampreys– dubbed “living dinosaurs”– at once, after two decades of searching.

The strange jawless creatures evolved millions of years ago and have scaleless, elongated bodies as well as a specialist mouth known as a sucker.
They have a reputation for guzzling the blood of their prey, earning them the nickname of “vampire fish”.

Sean, 49, had heard local legends in Margaret River, Australia, about the elusive lampreys migrating up local waterfalls, but said they had not been sighted in 10 years.

He compared his relentless search to looking for a “yeti or the Loch Ness monster” – and could not believe his luck when he spotted half-a-dozen.

“It was a kind of surreal moment. I had heard so many stories from the old-timers about how the lampreys used to migrate in their thousands up the waterfalls,” the Aussie explained.

“But we haven’t seen them in our Margaret River system for well over a decade.”

“I’m out on the river every day on tour with the canoes and always hoping to spot one, but this was my lucky day.”

“Yeah, I got a bit excited – and also excited to know they are still here.”

The 49-year-old told how he found the rare lampreys at Yalgardup Falls, a spot where he and his tour groups routinely stop.

He said: “I looked down into the water and it looked like a long blue tube sitting in the shallows.
“That seemed a bit odd as we don’t really get any rubbish in the river.

“I went down for a closer look only to discover another half dozen of the ‘tubes’ trying to make their way up the waterfall.”

“It turned out it was the elusive pouched lamprey that I had been trying to find for the past 20 years!”

“The tour group were thrilled. They quickly realized the significance of seeing them once we explained how rare they were.”

The slippery pouched lampreys tend to spend their early life in freshwater before migrating downstream to the sea where it then dines out on other fish during its adult life.

They then return to rivers to breed and spawn before they die.

Sean continued: “They kinda look like an eel. They have a hideous looking dinosaur-like mouth filled with grasping teeth.

“But overall they are very beautiful creatures with iridescent blue eyes, quite obvious gills and a long, slender, powerful body.”

The intriguing species are at risk of becoming endangered due to climate change and the increasing salinity in the waters where they breed, according to ABC.

Sean added: “They are living dinosaurs and have existed for over 200 million years, but they are in real trouble with climate change.”

“Our river system has dried by over 20% in the past two decades and this is thought to be affecting their population.”

“Interestingly it was a very wet winter this year and the lampreys obviously knew it was a good year to migrate up the system again,” he said.

“Imagine if these species were to be become extinct in our lifetimes – hundreds of millions of years of existence and they have the potential to disappear on our watch.”

Senior research fellow at Murdoch University in Perth, Stephen Beatty, praised Sean’s appreciation of the lamprey.

He told ABC: “It’s great that he’s increased the awareness of this pretty unique animal.”

“In terms of evolutionary significance, they’re a pretty amazing animal and we’re really lucky to have one of the species come up our rivers in the South West.”

He told eel hunters the best chance of spotting one was on a rainy winter evening.

Around 300 sea turtles found dead on Mexican coast

Around 300 sea turtles found dead on Mexican coast

By Edward Era Barbacena

A mass turtle death has been recorded on the Pacific coast of Mexico, with preliminary reports pointing to illegal fishing nets as the cause.

An official with Mexico’s environment ministry has confirmed that a minimum of 300 olive ridley turtles (Lepidochelys olivacea) were found drowned recently, the BBC reported.  Their bodies washed onto Oaxaca’s Morro Ayuta Beach.

While the reason for the sea turtles’ deaths has not yet been confirmed, officials believe they likely became tangled in “ghost nets,” the unofficial term for illegal fishing nets, many of them abandoned in the high seas.

That it was olive ridley turtles impacted is especially tragic as the species is listed as vulnerable by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature. Not only is their population decreasing, according to the IUCN, but olive ridleys are more geographically specific than other species, only nesting in a small number of areas.

The beach where the 300-some turtle bodies were recently found is one of the known sites where they lay eggs. Turtle expert Ernesto Albavera Padilla told local media that all of the turtle bodies found were female, the BBC reported.

The capturing of sea turtles has been banned in Mexico since 1990, and killing the creatures is a harshly punishable offense.

The Mexican navy is assisting in the investigation of how these hundreds of turtles died, in assistance with environmental authorities, according to the BBC.

In slightly more positive sea turtle news, a helpless baby was recently rescued and miraculously recovered after having its tiny stomach pumped of 158 individual shreds of plastic. The 60 grams of plastic found in its belly — mostly netting and plastic bag bits — were revealed in an X-ray, which found they were causing a blockage in the animal’s intestines.

The tiny turtle child is now convalescing at the Sireetarn Marine Endangered Animals Rescue Center in Thailand, the Bangkok Post reported.

US Marshals raid wrong apartment, threatens the lives of innocent mother and child

US Marshals raid wrong apartment, threatens the lives of innocent mother and child

What more stupidity that white American cops  can do

By  Edward Era Barbacena

US Marshals searching for a murder suspect in Florida knocked on the wrong door — and forced a mother holding her child out at gunpoint, intense video shows.

Kada Staples, 22, said she was napping Friday at her Bradenton apartment with her 3-month-old child when armed US Marshals knocked at her door and ordered her to come out, saying “we know he’s in there,” WFLA reported.

Footage from Staples’ doorbell cam shows two agents with guns drawn just outside her unit.

“And they started screaming at me, ‘US Marshals, open up, we know he’s in there,’ yelling to come out,” Staples recalled. “And I just kind of started freaking out, so I’m trying to hurry up and put my dog away in his cage.”

Moments later, Staples cracked open her door and the US Marshals pushed her and her baby out of the way while holding them at gunpoint, she said.

“There’s a gun about a foot away from her face,” the frightened mom said of her child.

The footage shows Staples in tears outside her apartment as the US Marshals realize they made a mistake.

“And then all run out, and they’re like, ‘that’s the wrong apartment, wrong apartment,’” Staples told WFLA.

Aside from her dog and child, no one else was inside Staples’ apartment.

The man being sought by the US Marshals was Shamar Johnson, who was wanted for a homicide in September in Manatee County, NBC News reported. He was taken into custody at another apartment on the same floor as Staples moments later, the federal law enforcement agency said in a statement Tuesday.

Staples’ residence was a “target of the investigation” and marshals “did not make entry,” according to the statement, which did not include an apology for the mix-up, NBC News reported.

“No sorry, no nothing,” Staples told WFLA. “They tell me, ‘You’re good,’ and another one said, ‘You’re fine.'”

Had Staples not made contact with the agents through her Ring doorbell device, the Marshals “would not have had any contact with anyone” in her unit. The footage, however, shows the armed men ordering her to come outside with her hands raised.

“They did come back an hour later and said, ‘We just want to explain to you that we saw a black male run upstairs and we thought he came to your apartment, but he didn’t go to your apartment and it turns out it wasn’t the black man we were looking [for],’” Staples told WFTS.

The new mom, meanwhile, said she’s been having trouble sleeping since the frightening encounter.

“I think it happens more than people know and it can happen to absolutely anybody,” Staples said.

Racist homeowner from Texas faces murder charge for shooting Moroccan national parked in his driveway

Such horrendous crime is racially motivated and committed  by a white uncivilized American man

By  Edward Era Barbacena

More and more white sociopath are coming out of their filthy dens and doing things that are hard to believe.  Many of these white savages are usually affected and triggered by some people who are just doing normal things.  They would usually resort to violence and other unimaginable  unprovoked unlawful doings - murder would be the worst scenario and their victims are usually people of color.

A racist homeowner from Texas is now facing a murder charge after  shooting and killing another man who had just parked in his driveway one morning earlier this month turned himself in and has been released on bond, authorities said.

Terry Duane Turner, 65, is charged with first-degree murder in the death of 31-year-old Adil Dghoughi, a Moroccan national who had pulled into his driveway in Martindale, outside of Austin, Texas, on Oct. 11.  The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office said detectives obtained an arrest warrant Thursday after conducting multiple interviews and executing multiple search warrants over the course of their investigation.

"Detectives have worked tirelessly on this case since the incident occurred on October 11th, 2021," the sheriff’s office said in a statement Friday. "Detectives reached out to Terry Turner’s attorney and were advised that Turner would be turning himself in at the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office."

Turner was taken into custody on Friday. Online records show he turned himself in shortly before 10 a.m. and was released less than two hours later on a $150,000 bond. The investigation is still active and ongoing, the sheriff's office said.

An affidavit says Turner shot Dghoughi as he was backing out of Turner’s driveway about 3:40 a.m. Turner told a 911 dispatcher that the motorist had pulled a gun on him. But investigators said they found no firearm in the car, The Associated Press reported.

Dghoughi was a Moroccan national who obtained a master’s degree in financial analysis from Johnson & Wales University in Rhode Island after immigrating to the U.S. in 2013, according to the Austin chapter of the Council on American Islamic Relations, which has been advocating on his behalf after his killing. The organization, as well as Dghoughi’s family, have criticized the almost two-week delay in Turner’s arrest by Martindale and Caldwell County authorities and are calling for an independent investigation into the shooting death.

Faizan Syed, executive director of CAIR-Austin, has argued in past statements that the shooting demonstrates how "stand your ground" laws across the country "have a history of being used to commit legal violence against people of color."

Mehdi Cherkaoui, an attorney representing Dghoughi’s family, said Dghoughi’s windows were closed when he was shot. "The bullet entered his hand before it entered his head. And the bullet exited the victim’s head, and actually there was enough force for it to travel through the passenger-side window," Cherkaoui told KTBC-TV of Austin.

Sarah Todd, Dghoughi’s girlfriend, told the station that she and Dghoughi were staying at her cousin’s home in the San Antonio suburb of Converse on the night of Oct. 10 after a barbecue but decided to leave just after midnight. Turner’s Martindale home is seven minutes from Todd’s. "His habits were to drive around and decompress and listen to music," she explained.

"Something like this should not have even been questioned. If someone is murdered, whether it’s on someone’s property or out in the street, they should automatically be arrested," she said.

Supporters of Dghoughi and his family held a vigil at the Texas Capitol on Saturday, and another was scheduled for Sunday evening in Martindale.

US soldier charged with killing grandfather, great-grandmother

US soldier charged with killing grandfather, great-grandmother

By Edward Era Batbacena

A US WHITE soldier in Germany has been charged with murdering two relatives in South Carolina in what authorities have described as a “crime of greed.”

Gene Alexzander Scott, 24, was indicted Thursday on two counts of murder in the shooting deaths of his 61-year-old grandfather, Gene Rogers, and 78-year-old great-grandmother, Billie Rogers, Chester County Sheriff Max Dorsey said Monday.

Rogers and his mother were found dead on June 21, 2020, after Scott called deputies to report that “someone killed his grandparents,” according to an incident report obtained by The Post.

Gene Alexzander "Alex" Scott was brought back to South Carolina from Germany to face charges he killed his grandfather and great-grandmother 16 months ago.

Scott, who was living in Columbia at the time, was found kneeling on the ground at the end of the driveway at the Rogerses’ home in Richburg, where he was “crying and very distraught,” investigators said.

An extensive investigation into the slayings 16 months ago, including probes by the Army and Navy, led to last week’s indictment, a sheriff’s office spokesman told The Post.

Gene Rogers had a role in raising Scott in the home where the bodies were found, spokesman Grant Suskin said. The slayings are believed to have been “financially motivated,” but Suskin declined to provide additional details while citing the ongoing investigation.

Dorsey, meanwhile, characterized the homicides as a “crime of greed,” WCNC reported.

Deputies believe the murders occurred on June 20, 2020, one day before Father’s Day, but Scott called to report the deaths a day later, Suskin said.

A WHITE American actor was arrested in connection to vandalism of the bronze statue of George Floyd in New York City's Union Square earlier this month, according to the New York Police Department.

Micah Beals, 37, was arrested Monday and charged with criminal mischief, said NYPD Detective Annette Shelton.

By

He was arraigned just after midnight Tuesday and released on his own recognizance, said Caitlin Fowles, a spokesperson for the Manhattan District Attorney's Office said. His next court date is scheduled for November 1.

CNN has reached out to Beals' attorney, Rebecca Heinsen of Legal Aid Society, for comment.

The George Floyd bust, one of three statues in Union Square Park, was defaced with a gray, water-based paint on the morning of October 3, NYPD detective Frances Sammon told CNN at the time. The installation debuted just a couple of days earlier.

Beals is accused of throwing the gray paint on the statue while riding a skateboard through the park, his criminal complaint states.

The cost to temporarily restore the bust was around $2,000 and the cost to fully restore it will be about $20,000, according to the complaint.

The bronze bust of Floyd is part of Confront Art's "SEEINJUSTICE" exhibition.

A team of volunteers was on the scene cleaning up the Floyd statue shortly after it was vandalized, Confront Art co-founder Andrew Cohen said earlier.

"They went to the hardware and bought supplies out of their own pockets," he said. "This is inspiring teamwork and support from the community."

Robredo on vote buying: Take the money, but vote according to conscience

Robredo on vote buying: Take the money, but vote according to conscience

By Edward Era Barbacena

Filipino presidential candidate Leni Robredo gave an absurd advice on how ordinary people can handle vote buying, saying that they can accept the money being offered but still vote for the candidate they want.

"Mali yung pagbibili ng boto, pero ‘yung sinasabi ko sa tao, tanggapin niyo. Parati kong sinasabi tanggapin niyo kasi galing rin naman ‘yan sa atin. ‘Yung pinambibili ng boto, pera din naman ‘yan ng taongbayan," Robredo said Tuesday at a virtual forum with household service workers or kasambahays.

(Vote buying is wrong, but I tell people, accept the money. I always say accept it since that also came from us. What’s being used to buy votes is also the money of the people.)

Robredo was asked during the forum for advice on how people should deal with vote buying if they encounter

Her response is similar to the late Manila Archbishop Jaime Cardinal Sin’s advice on vote buying to “take the bait, not the hook.”

“‘Wag kang boboto dahil pakiramdam mo mayroon kang utang na loob kasi tinanggap mo. ‘Di ba? ‘Yung sa akin, tanggapin ang pera, pero iboto sa konsensiya,” Robredo said.

(Don’t vote because you feel indebted to them because you accepted the money. Right? For me, accept the money, but vote according to your conscience.)

She also told kasambahays that they should not worry about the possibility of other people finding out who they voted for as there is no way for anyone to do this.

The Commission on Elections has stressed that the claim that there is a way to monitor how a specific voter votes is among the persistent pieces of misinformation surrounding elections.

Vote buying, which carries a penalty of one to six years imprisonment, has been a perennial problem in Philippine elections which seems to have no solution in sight.

The Comelec brought forward a potential solution to vote buying in 2013, when it tried to ban the withdrawal of more than P100,000 a day, the transportation of cash beyond P500,000 and the encashment of checks exceeding P500,000.

But this was eventually halted by the Supreme Court and the poll body has not attempted to revive the proposal.

On Sunday, her office and her volunteer group dismissed social media posts claiming volunteers in the caravans and other activities held over the weekend were given "incentives" — P100 and a Fudgee Bar snack, according to some claims — for joining as fake.

In a statement, Team Leni Robredo said it "strongly condemns any type of support purchase and we call on the public to be more critical in sharing these types of information on social media."

"As the volunteer arm of the Leni Robredo presidential campaign, TLR believes in the principles held by our constituents.

ABS-CBN loses war against GMA 7 over copy right infringement issue

Genuine news maker prevails over  ' yellow journalism '

By Edward Era Barbacena

The Philippine Quezon City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 93 acquitted Grace Dela Peña-Reyes and John Oliver Manalastas, who were then GMA Network’s News Operations Head and News Program Manager, respectively, from copyright infringement charges filed by ABS-CBN.

In the September 29, 2021 decision penned by Presiding Judge Arthur O. Malabaguio, the court sided with Dela Peña-Reyes and Manalastas citing “the failure of the prosecution to prove their guilt beyond reasonable doubt.”

They added that “there was no advisory or notice of embargo given to GMA Network, Inc.” and that “the absence of volition, voluntariness and knowledge on the part of the accused in the alleged act of infringement warrants their acquittal from the crime charged.”

Following the Supreme Court’s reinstatement of the case in 2015, the QC RTC subsequently ruled that GMA’s re-broadcasting of the Reuters footage is well within the limitations of fair use.

As stated in the decision, “the prosecution failed to convince this Court of the existence of copyright infringement to warrant relief in their favor” and that “GMA Network, Inc. cannot be considered liable for copyright infringement under the Intellectual Property Code.”

It further added that Dela Peña-Reyes and Manalastas “should be exonerated from the crime charged, considering that the prosecution failed to prove, beyond reasonable doubt, that they committed acts of infringement against ABS-CBN.”

Timothy Hale-Cusanelli had said 'He would kill all the Jews and eat them for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and he wouldn’t need to season them because the salt from their tears would make it flavorful enough'

A part-time Army Reserve sergeant who worked in human resources was demoted to the rank of private this past May. Shortly after, he was given an “other-than-honorable discharge the next month, terminating a 12-year military career.” The reason? According to Federal authorities, 31-year-old Timothy Hale-Cusanelli is a white supremacist, anti-semitic dirtbag who participated in the attempted coup d’etat in Washington, D.C., at the Capitol building on Jan. 6, 2021.

Hale-Cusanelli reportedly traveled from his home in Colts Neck, New Jersey, to participate in the rally at the U.S. Capitol. According to the government’s statement of facts, Hale-Cusanelli works in New Jersey as a “contractor at Naval Weapons Station Earle where he maintains a ‘Secret’ security clearance and has access to a variety of munitions.” He was arrested 11 days after the insurrection in D.C., and arraigned at the end of March, when he pleaded not guilty to charges including trespassing and obstruction. The Washington Post reports that beyond simply trespassing into the Capitol building, Hale-Cusanelli was using hand and arm signals “to advance rioters forward” and “harassing police officers.”
And then there’s the background work federal investigators did after receiving a tip that Mr. Hale-Cusanelli “is an avowed white supremacist and Nazi sympathizer.”

The tip reportedly came through a person, not named in the charging documents, who is  enrolled in the Confidential Human Source (CHS) in the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS). That tip led investigators to discover videos of wanna-be-Hitler Hale-Cusanelli participating inside and out of the Capitol building on Jan. 6. This led to a thorough search of his social media presence, including some YouTube show he conducted, called “Based Hermes Show.” Most of the channel’s videos have been pulled down.

On this show, Hale-Cusanelli reportedly wrote a post before traveling down to Washington, D.C. saying “Trust the plan, it’s the final countdown, stay tuned next episode” and teasing some “announcement” to come shortly Jan. 6. The CHS was then able to record Hale-Cusanelli talking about participating in the insurrection and saying that if they’d had more men, they could have taken control of the Capitol building in its entirety. He sounds like a lot of fun to be around.

In part, Timothy Hale-Cusanelli remains detained because of interviews conducted with “44 of his co-workers at the Naval Weapons Station Earle in Colts Neck, New Jersey.” ABC News reports that of those 44 people interviewed, 34 of them described Hale-Cusanelli as “having extremist or radical views pertaining to the Jewish people, minorities, and women.” The majority of those interviewed said he was a white supremacist.
But let’s make sure everybody fully understands how white supremacists with Nazi leanings think. This isn’t just about Jews and Blacks; it’s about a perception of pure-blood superiority that excludes anything considered a weakness. Hale-Cusanelli reportedly told one Navy seaman that “[b]abies born with any deformities or disabilities should be shot in the forehead.” He went on to explain that if he were a Nazi, “he would kill all the Jews and eat them for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and he wouldn’t need to season them because the salt from their tears would make it flavorful enough.”

One Navy Petty Officer said that Hale-Cusanelli talked about Jewish people all the time, in an obsessive way, saying things like “Hitler should have finished the job.” Not wanting to leave anyone out, Hale-Cusanelli also allegedly referred to Black folks as “s***-skinned minorities.” To drive it home, the Hitler-inspired mustache seen in his picture above is reportedly one he frequently wore. A supervisor told investigators that she had to tell him it was not appropriate to wear to work.

The Washington Post reports that while his employment status remains unknown, court documents do say that he no longer retains the “secret” clearance that gave him access to the Navy base where he was a contractor. Hale-Cusanelli’s attorney has argued that there is no evidence against his client tying him directly to any white supremacist or domestic terrorist organization. He also says he will be appealing the less-than-honorable discharge of his client.

Texas Man Sentenced to 23 Years for Using Grindr App to Target, Rob, and Assault Gay Men

By Edward Era Barbacena

A 22-year-old WHITE Texas man has been sentenced to 23 years in prison for using the dating app Grindr to target, rob, and assault gay men.

According to a press release from the Department of Justice, Daniel Jenkins pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit hate crimes, kidnapping, and carjacking; one hate crime count; and one count of use of a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence.

“This defendant targeted innocent victims for violent crimes simply because he believed they were gay,” the assistant attorney general for civil rights, Kristen Clarke, said in a statement. “This sentence affirms that bias-motivated crimes run contrary to our national values and underscores the Justice Department’s commitment to aggressively prosecuting bias-motivated crimes, including crimes against the LGBTQI community.”

Court documents reveal that for a week in December 2017, he and three other co-conspirators used Grindr to bait who they thought were gay men, asking them to meet in a vacant apartment and other places in Dallas in order to rob, carjack, and kidnap them, among other hate crimes.

Jenkins was hit with the longest sentence out of everyone. His co-conspirator Michael Atkinson was sentenced to 11 years, Daryl Henry to 20 years, and Pablo Ceniceros-Deleon to 22 years, for a range of charges that included conspiracy, kidnapping, and hate crime.

The men used homophobic slurs towards the victims, and some were physically and sexually assaulted.

“Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, bigots often lurk online,” Chad Meacham, the acting U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Texas, said in a statement. “We urge users of dating apps like Grindr to remain vigilant.”

Trump: United States is being poisoned by illegal immigrants crossing the border

Former President Donald Trump warned that the country is being “poisoned” by the surge of immigrants coming to the US and called for restarting the border wall construction that President Biden ended when he took office.

“Our Country is being poisoned with the millions of people that are illegally flowing through our Borders, in most cases not even questioned or stopped. Many are criminals from the emptied prisons of other countries, most of these are very dangerous people,” Trump said in a statement sent by email Sunday.

“Our country is dying from within and nobody is doing anything to stop it. The first thing that should be done, and it can be done quickly, is FINISH THE WALL. A deal must be made with Mexico, where Mexico serves as a 2,000-mile barrier, not a launching pad for the illegals that are coming in,” the 45th president said.

Along with construction of the wall, Biden reversed or ended a number of Trump’s immigration policies, which resulted in a surge of immigrants arriving at the southern border from Mexico and Central and South America.

the border wall construction that President Joe Biden ended
when he took office.

US Customs and Border Protection detained a record-high 1.7 million undocumented immigrants over the previous 12 months, officials said.
Trump also raised concerns about the Afghan allies transported to the US after the Biden administration pulled out of the war-torn country at the end of August. He continued by outlining the crises his successor created.

“How stupid our Country has become, so sad to watch when just 10 months ago we had none of these problems, and none either with bad economy, inflation, fuel prices going through the roof, and so much else,” he said.

Trump also said the media is complicit in hiding Biden’s failures.

“And never forget, because the Fake News will not talk about it any longer, those needlessly killed in Afghanistan and the thousands of people and the $85 Billion worth of Military equipment left behind in the complete and total surrender by the United States of America,” Trump said.

“We would have been out but we would have been out with dignity and strength. Our Country is now a laughingstock all over the world!” he said.

A 29-year-old white man accused of trying to strangle an 11-year-old girl in a Manhattan park was arraigned and released on $7,500 bail on Saturday night.

Nathaniel Direnzo, of Saint Marks Place, was arrested on Saturday morning for a bizarre, broad-daylight attack on the young girl and another minor on Wednesday afternoon

.On Saturday evening, he appeared for his initial hearing with his father, donning a gray suit.

He was charged with second-degree strangulation, two counts of acting in a manner injurious to a child, second-degree harassment and two counts of assault.

According to police, just around noon on Oct. 20, Direnzo approached the girl and her classmates at Stuyvesant Square with her classmates and began to yell at them, before spraying water on the group and trying to attack them, cops said.

When the young girl tried to fight back, cops say Direnzo grabbed her by the hair and punched her in the face. He then allegedly “wrapped his hands around the girl’s neck,” trying to strangle her, police said.

The girl was taken to Mount Sinai Beth Israel Hospital as a result of her injuries.

One of the girl’s classmates, a 15-year-old boy, tried to intervene once he saw the girl being attacked. Direnzo allegedly hit the boy, who was treated for minor injuries on the scene by EMS.

Why Leni Robredo is intensely disliked by more Filipinos

Why Leni Robredo is intensely disliked by more Filipinos

She also dumped the color yellow which has been the color of the Liberal party and now uses pink

By Edward Era Barbacena

The handlers of Vice President and “independent” presidential candidate Leni Robredo claim not to understand why their lord and master is intensely disliked by her rivals. Those handlers think Robredo’s rivals are criticizing their boss because her rivals see her as the right bet for the presidency.

Robredo’s camp is obviously mistaken.

There are clear reasons why Robredo is intensely disliked.

Robredo was elected to Congress in 2013 through the sympathy votes she got by simply being the widow of a populist politician identified with the late President Benigno Aquino III.

By Robredo’s own admission earlier this year, legislative work is not her skill, which explains why she has no track record in Congress to speak of. Thus, Robredo deceived the voters about her supposed qualifications as a legislator when she ran for the House of Representatives in 2013. That is why Robredo is distrusted.

As Vice President, Robredo did nothing substantial to justify her consuming ambition to become president. All she did was to criticize the government as if she had a monopoly of all the competence in the country. Twice given a chance to work with President Rodrigo Duterte, twice she tried to undermine his administration while promoting herself.

Robredo uses the bulk of the annual budget of her office for needlessly duplicating the functions of the Department of Social Welfare and Development.

She complains about alleged wastage of public funds, but she lives in a luxury mansion in New Manila, Quezon City at public expense. Can’t she afford to buy or lease her own home? Under the Constitution, only the President is entitled to an official residence paid for by public money.

Despite being a lawyer, Robredo does not fully comprehend the Constitution, as seen in the way she dishes out her public announcements. Also, Robredo lacks a substantial understanding of International Law, which every president is expected to be familiar with.

Robredo, who has difficulty speaking in straight English, tried to look scholarly by wearing eyeglasses during her past press conferences. The public saw that move as a cosmetic overhaul.

Rivals are offended by the underhanded way Robredo dealt with them. Her so-called “unity talks” with rivals like Senators Panfilo Lacson, Manny Pacquiao and Richard Gordon, and with Manila Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso were unsuccessful because they all saw that she wants to be the sole candidate for president.

Five-and-half years as vice president, Robredo could not even make up her mind if she will run for president. An indecisive person should not be trusted with high office.

When Robredo finally announced her presidential run two weeks ago, she said her objective in doing so is to prevent ex-Senator Bongbong Marcos, her rival in the 2016 vice presidential election, from winning as president. In other words, Robredo’s platform for seeking the presidency is based on personalities, and not on issues.

Intolerant of the views of others, Robredo denounced Domagoso for the latter’s good words about the late President Ferdinand Marcos. Two weeks earlier, Robredo was with him discussing her possible alliance with the mayor.

Although Robredo claims she remains the chairman of the moribund and much despised Liberal Party, she insists she is running for president as an “independent” candidate. She also ditched the color yellow, long associated with her LP, and adopted pink as her new campaign hue.

Despite disassociating herself from the LP, Robredo’s vice-presidential running mate is Senator Francis Pangilinan, the current LP president. Her campaign manager is ex-Senator Bam Aquino, also of the LP.

Robredo’s decision to ditch yellow and identify herself with pink, and to run as an “independent” candidate for president but with a running mate and a campaign manager from the LP, smacks of political opportunism and duplicity. She actually thinks the voters are stupid enough to fall for her ruse.

It is no mystery why Robredo is intensely disliked by many.

Scuba diver finds 900-year-old Crusader sword off the coast of Israel

Scuba diver finds 900-year-old Crusader sword off the coast of Israel

By Edward Era Barbacena

A scuba diver has discovered a 900-year-old Crusader sword with a three-foot blade off the coast of Israel.

The amateur diver spotted the sword and other ancient artifacts on the seabed off northern Israel, according to a statement from the Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA) published Monday.

He was diving on October 9 when he spotted the sword, which boasts a foot-long hilt, along with stone anchors, metal anchors and pottery fragments.

The artifacts were "apparently uncovered by waves and undercurrents that had shifted the sand," the IAA said.

The diver took the sword up to the surface so it wouldn't be stolen or covered up again, before handing it in to the IAA.

The sword was found 200 meters (656 feet) from the shore, at a depth of four meters (13 feet), Koby Sharvit, director of the IAA's Marine Archaeology Unit, told CNN on Tuesday.

Its size and shape suggest it belonged to a Crusader, as does the fact that it was found just a few kilometers from Atlit castle, a Crusader fortress, Sharvit added.

Dating from 1096 to the late 13th century, the Crusades were a set of military expeditions by Western European Christians that aimed to retake the Holy Land in the Middle East after centuries of Muslim wars of expansion.

Koby Sharvit, director of the Marine Archaeology Unit of the
Israel Antiquities Authority, pictured with the sword.

Nir Distelfeld, Inspector for the IAA's Robbery Prevention Unit, said the sword is a rare find that has been preserved in perfect condition.

"It was found encrusted with marine organisms, but is apparently made of iron," Distelfeld said in the statement.

"It is exciting to encounter such a personal object, taking you 900 years back in time to a different era, with knights, armor and swords."

Sharvit told CNN the sword is well preserved because it was buried in a deep layer of sand, without oxygen.

The sword will be cleaned of encrusted stones and shells

It currently weighs around 5-6 kilograms (11-13 pounds) due to the incrustation of stones and shells, but the sword itself probably weighs 1-2 kilograms (2.2-4.4 pounds), he said.

The coastline in the area has many natural coves that provided shelter for ancient ships, and settlements such as Dor and Atlit developed around the larger coves, according to the IAA.

This means the area was popular with merchant ships -- and that means a wealth of potential archaeological finds.

The site has been monitored since June, when some artifacts were first discovered by members of the public. But the movement of the sands means artifacts are "very elusive," according to the statement.

"Our work actually is like a puzzle," Sharvit told CNN, explaining that even small storms can move the sand around and expose new objects.

Other artifacts recovered from the site show it was used in the Late Bronze Age, some 4,000 years ago, by ships seeking shelter, Sharvit added.

He told CNN that the team will closely monitor the site in the coming months.

"It's very strange to find just one artifact" from the Crusader period, he said, explaining that the sword could have been left following a shipwreck, or a Crusader landing party.

Winter storms could expose more artifacts, he added, and archaeologists will carry out further surveys in the area.

In the meantime, the sword will be sent to the IAA labs to be cleaned, said Sharvit, who hopes to learn more about its history when the metal itself is revealed.

IAA Director-General Eli Escosido said: "Once the sword has been cleaned and researched in the Israel Antiquities Authority's laboratories, we will ensure it is displayed to the public."

Flesh devouring 'STD' causing bacteria is rapidly spreading in the United Kingdom

By Edward Era Barbacena

A once-rare flesh-eating sexually transmitted disease that causes “beefy red” ulcers is spreading across the UK, according to a report Friday.

Cases of donovanosis — which causes thick sores that damage genital tissue — have been steadily growing in the region since 2016, and cases are expected to rise,  according to data and experts cited by Birmingham Live.

Granuloma inguinale (donovanosis) is a genital ulcerative disease caused by the intracellular gram-negative bacterium Klebsiella granulomatis (formerly known as Calymmatobacterium granulomatis).

The disease occurs rarely in the United States; however, sporadic cases have been described in India, South Africa, and South America (526–535). Although granuloma inguinale was previously endemic in Australia, it is now extremely rare (536,537).

Clinically, the disease is characterized as painless, slowly progressive ulcerative lesions on the genitals or perineum without regional lymphadenopathy; subcutaneous granulomas (pseudobuboes) also might occur. The lesions are highly vascular (i.e., beefy red appearance) and can bleed. Extragenital infection can occur with infection extension to the pelvis, or it can disseminate to intra-abdominal organs, bones, or the mouth.

The lesions also can develop secondary bacterial infection and can coexist with other sexually transmitted pathogens.

“Figures suggest that donovanosis — which was previously thought to be restricted to places including India, Brazil and New Guinea — is becoming more common on these shores,” Dr. Datta, of MyHealthCare Clinic in London, told the outlet.

Health officials reported 30 cases of the STD in the UK in 2019, but more infections in the past two years could pose a public-health risk, she warned.

The STD is generally transmitted through unprotected sex, but in rare cases, it can be spread through non-sexual skin-on-skin contact and to newborn babies through their moms.

Symptoms include “bulging red bumps,” “damaged skin” and “loss of genital tissue color,” according to Healthline.com.

The STD is more common in parts of India, Papua New Guinea, central Australia and the Caribbean and southern Africa, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Long-term treatment, including with antibiotics, are needed to cure the disease.
