Local media reported that they found the motorist and asked him about the incident. He said he did not mean to throw the banknotes on the ground but was in a hurry at the time of the incident.

The man was even heard shouting at the female attendant.
A Twitter user @harry_shosta wrote, “This Sichuan L9H275, I have memorized it all. He deliberately threw the money on the ground and let the gas worker pick it up. He is a f****** animal. This kind of scum must be caught and punished! ! In my life, I hate these evil people who don't know how to respect others!!”
Social media users have called the driver arrogant and urged the authorities to ban the entry of the car at all gas stations.
