Convicted serial killer, Harold David Haulman, pled guilty to second-degree murder in the killing of a Battle Creek woman Wednesday.

In mid-December, Haulman, 44, was formally arraigned on a charge of premediated first-degree murder in the killing of then-21-year-old Ashley Parlier. The charge has been amended.

Parlier was last seen leaving her Bedford Township home following an argument with her parents over an apparent pregnancy in 2005, detectives said.

Haulman is also serving life in prison in Pennsylvania after he confessed to killing two women in 2018 and 2020, according to court records.

Haulman was 20 years old when he also admitted to killing a man named Joseph Whitehurst, in Germany, in 1999. Haulman was convicted as a juvenile since anyone under 21 can't be charged as an adult in Germany, court records show.

The max penalty Haulman could face is life in prison, according to the Calhoun County judge Wednesday.

"If you think there's one person dead in Germany, two dead in Pennsylvania, one dead here, there's a possibility of others, yes," Calhoun County Prosecutor David Gilbert said in December 2022.

Haulman has confessed to knocking Parlier unconscious during an argument before he struck her over the head with a piece of wood and buried her body in a wooded area in Newton Township, according to court records.

Her remains have still not been found, according to detectives.

Haulman is expected to be sentenced April 10.
