Britney Spears Says Wembanyama’s Security Struck Her in Las Vegas, Spurs Rookie Says He Was Grabbed

San Antonio Spurs rookie Victor Wembanyama claimed that Britney Spears grabbed him from behind at a Las Vegas casino, while his security team pushed her away. Wembanyama stated that he was not informed it was Spears until later. Spears, on the other hand, filed a police report alleging that she was struck by a security guard when she tapped Wembanyama on the shoulder to get his attention for a photo. She denied grabbing him and said her glasses were knocked off when the security guard backhanded her.

Spears addressed the incident on her Instagram story, expressing embarrassment but confirming the incident occurred. She stated that she had not received a public apology from Wembanyama, his security, or the Spurs organization. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to a “battery investigation” without naming individuals involved, mentioning no arrests or citations.

Wembanyama revealed that he was advised by security not to stop for anyone and to continue walking into the restaurant. He claimed that someone grabbed him from behind, and he only realized it was Britney Spears when he returned to the hotel. Spears mentioned being swarmed by people frequently and urged individuals in the public eye to treat others with respect.

Wembanyama is scheduled to make his NBA summer league debut with the Spurs against the Charlotte Hornets. He signed autographs for fans at the ARIA and practiced with the team at a local high school.
