Police Officer Body Slams Woman While She’s Holding Her Little Baby

She is left lying sprawled on the pavement after the cop pushes her to the ground, losing her grip on the child as it happens. Footage taken on a mobile phone shows how the woman argued with the officer before hand, pushing him in the chest.

But instead of calming the situation down, he shoves her in the apparent dispute over a parking ticket. At the end of the video the woman is handcuffed and put in a police car.

The woman is left with bruises on her face, but the child does not appear to be hurt. People have criticized what they see as an excessive use of force from the officer.

Some people defended him, saying the woman was first to use physical force.

‘I don’t care what the woman did, NOTHING justifies slamming a woman to the ground while she’s holding a baby. Nothing,’ one commenter responded.

‘Police officers are supposed to be the calm and professional ones. They should be trained in de-escalation, not make matters worse by losing their cool in a tense situation.’

According to local reports, the officer has been suspended while the incident is investigated.
