American fugitive man of Nebraska sought by police for numerous cases of child abuse 

A warrant was issued for 24 year Jacob Ellingson for felony child abuse.

Another white American adult who is now facing charges for causing severe harm to children.  Majority of child abuse cases in the United States were carried out by white adults 

On Friday September 8th a little bit after 8am the Kearney Police Department received a phone call about a vehicle going to a local hospital with a 1 year old child that was experiencing trouble breathing.

The child was then immediately flown to the children’s hospital in Omaha by helicopter where they worked on determining the severity and the cause of the child’s injuries.

Police now believe that the child’s injuries come from a criminal act.

A warrant was issued for 24 year Jacob Ellingson for felony child abuse.

His whereabouts unknown.

Police calling him a fugitive from justice.

Kearney Police confirm Ellingson is the boyfriend of the mother of the child. The grandmother confirmed that they did live together and that the situation was extremely unhealthy.

Unfortunately cases like this aren't unique. According to the Executive Director at Family Advocacy Network in Kearney Jamie Vetter.

"In particular when talking about sexual abuse and physical abuse people that do these to our children are people we trust. It's not the scary person that's hiding in the alley its typically somebody that we know. someone within our family. Or somebody that's close to us and that somebody we can trust," Jamie stated.

I then asked Jamie if she could give encouraging words to parents who may feel unsure about leaving their children with someone who would go on to abuse them.

“I think most importantly is to trust your gut. I mean a lot of times when things come to light that happened they may say, I just had this strange feeling or I didn’t feel comfortable or whatever. I think you need to trust your gut as a parent number one."

According to court documents. Ellingson is also charged with intentional child abuse of a 5 year old on or about the 7th of September which is a class 3 felony. The 1 year old is at a hospital in Omaha where she is being treated... If you have any information, contact the Kearney police department.
