It is getting too common in the United States that an American teachers  (mostly white) ended up being indicted if not having sexual relationship with a minor student, they would sexually assaulted them. Almost every month, we would encounter such news involving immoral American teachers.

Alissa McCommon, a Tennessee teacher who taught English and social studies to fourth-graders, was arrested and charged after she allegedly raped a 12-year-old in her home.

The 38-year-old, who taught at Charger Academy, was arrested by the Covington Police Department outside her home on Friday, September 8, and booked into the Tipton County Jail.

The mother of two is accused of having a damning encounter with one of her former students in 2021 when the child was just 12 years old.

Covington Police Chief Donna Turner noted that the alleged tryst took place at her home.

McCommon has been charged with rape of a child and is being held on $25,000 bond. The teacher was suspended from her job without pay on Aug. 24 after a parent made shocking allegations, district officials said.

Officials also noted that after her suspension, several teenage victims came forward and claimed she first began interacting with them on social media and then began playing video games with some of them.

The inappropriate behavior quickly escalated after she allegedly sent them explicit images and asked them to have sex with them.

Officers determined that during their investigation, McCommon confessed that she spoke to the former students in an inappropriate manner.

They further stated that it is currently assumed that none of the alleged acts of violence took place on school grounds.

Many parents were outraged when they learned of the teacher’s unethical behavior, and some were angry when they found out about it through a Facebook post two weeks later.

Due to their lack of trust in the education system, some parents are considering homeschooling their children and are asking the Tipton Education Board for clarification.

Bianca Taylor told Fox13 Memphis that when her son came home from school, he asked if his teacher had been at school lately.

She said her son told her there was a substitute teacher because the school said the teacher was homesick.

“I hope they take the matter seriously because of any other situation. “If it was a man who did it the other way around, you would all take it more seriously,” Taylor said, adding, “Even if she did it or not, you have to look at it and not just ignore it.” Carpet. “

The police chief described the situation as “unbearable” and claimed that resources were being made available to the victims.

“It is unspeakable and 100 percent preventable. I think that’s why investigators and we are so passionate about making sure the victims are OK,” said Chief Turner.

Jere Mason, McCommon’s attorney, said his client maintains her innocence. “We believe this is a witch hunt on social media and that frustrates us,” Mason said, according to the Daily Mail.

“We urge the public to be patient and allow the justice system to do its job and not bring about further persecution of the alleged victims or the defendant’s family,” Mason added.

Tipton County Schools said McCommon also worked at Crestview Elementary School. In this case, the police are still interviewing witnesses and looking for additional victims.

They said additional charges are expected and the investigation is ongoing. McCommon is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on October 13.
