American man of Michigan charged with murder of his own wife who vanished in 2021

Tecumseh, Michigan: The husband of a Michigan woman who had been missing for the past two years was arrested Tuesday, Nov. 21, and charged in connection with her death, authorities said. Dale Warner, 53, was arraigned the next day in Lenawee County District Court on charges of open murder and tampering with evidence, according to a press release from Michigan State Police.
WTVG reported that Dale pleaded not guilty to both charges. His bond has been set at $20 million and an arraignment is scheduled for Nov. 27, police said in a release.

Dee Ann Warner, 52, of Tecumseh, Michigan, disappeared in April 2021. She was last seen at her home in Franklin Township on April 25, 2021, and has had no contact with family or friends since her disappearance, according to Crimestoppers of Lenawee County. A statement. According to NBC, the woman, who at the time ran a trucking company and an agricultural business, was a mother of five.

Although Dee’s body has yet to be found, authorities believe they have the right suspect in custody.
“Working a no-body homicide brings unique challenges,” Detective First Lt. Michael Dillon said in the release. “The detectives in this case did an excellent job investigating and working closely with the Lenawee County Prosecutor. I have the utmost confidence in this case moving forward,” Dillon added.

In an interview with Dateline after the arrest, Dee Warner’s brother Greg Hardy said 15 years into his marriage to his sister Dale, “the pain has not subsided,” NBC News reported.
“The fact that what happened and the lack of closure haunts the family,” he said, “We all have, I believe, resigned ourselves to the fact that she was killed and her body was either hidden or destroyed by Mr. Warner.
Dale’s defense attorney, Mary Chartier, told The Detroit News that her client is innocent.
“We believe that a fair and objective review of the evidence — or more precisely the lack of evidence in this case — will show that Mr. Warner did not abuse his wife,” she said in a statement obtained by the outlet. “On behalf of Mr. Warner we intend to vigorously fight these allegations,” the statement added.
