Steven Dale Collins charged with statutory rape of a minor

On Tuesday, Davidson County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Thomasville native Steven Dale Collins Jr., on a charge of Statutory rape of a child.

Investigators say they opened this case after learning that Collins was scheduled to meet with a female minor following mutual online communication. Detectives soon discovered that Collins was in a sexual relationship with this juvenile female, leading to a charge on Tuesday.
