This is not the first time that we encountered in the news of an American teacher accused of sexually molesting or having sex with student. It is no longer surprising that the majority are white.

This kind of sexual abuse committed by a person who supposed to be guiding minors are getting  too common across the United States.

A middle school science teacher faces 50 years in jail after admitting to the year-long rape of a 14-year-old boy she taught.

Megan Pauline Jordan, 25, who got married in 2021, pleaded guilty to four counts of carnal knowledge and one count of indecent liberties of a minor.

The former teacher at Hungary Creek Middle School, in Chesterfield, Virginia, was charged in the case on June 30 last year, before her plea deal. She faces up to 50 years in prison and will be sentenced at a later date.

Jordan and the teenager sneaked into his bedroom numerous times in the 2022-23 school year to have sex, and her DNA was found on his bedsheets.

Students at the school were shocked to learn 'Ms Jordan' had committed the crimes, but others said they saw the signs for months.

'She was my teacher, I knew there was something wrong with her and the student's relationship,' one wrote on social media.

'The student wouldn't do any of the work and she wouldn't bat an eye. I noticed subtle flirting and teasing, the tension between them was insane.

'She deserves a life sentence for grooming this poor kid.'

Photos on the school's social media pages showed Jordan poses with staff and students in fancy dress, once in a school Cougars jumper and another in an ugly Christmas sweater - both times wearing mouse ears.

Henrico County Commonwealth's Attorney Shannon Taylor thanked the 'brave action' of those who reported the crimes to police.

We are always asking people if they see something unusual, or not quite right, to say something,' she said.

'Because of their efforts, this predator is off the streets, out of our schools, and will be held accountable for her actions.'

Henrico Schools called Jordan's arrest 'an extremely serious and upsetting situation' in an email to parents last year.

We have communicated with families at the school and will continue to support our school community in any way needed,' it read.
