Two people were shot dead and three others wounded when gunfire erupted at a Brooklyn party early Sunday — part of another bloody weekend in the Big Apple.

Cops responding to a ShotSpotter alert at 101 Wortman Avenue in East New York shortly after 12:30 a.m. found three gunshot victims in a car outside and two others inside the building.

Two of the victims in the vehicle — both 36-year-old men, one shot in the head the other in the face and chest — were later pronounced dead at area hospitals, police said.

A 51-year-old man who was also shot inside the car was hit in the back, chest, and arm, and was listed in critical condition at Brookdale Hospital.

Cops said two other victims were shot inside the venue.

A 32-year-old man was struck in the chest and neck and was also listed in critical condition at Brookdale Hospital, police said.

Another man, 37, was listed in stable condition at Montefiore Hospital in New Rochelle with a shoulder wound after being driven there before cops arrived at the scene.

As many as 150 people were at the party at the site, which is called the Brooklyn Garden, when bullets started flying, police said at a briefing Sunday afternoon.

“Preliminary investigation revealed that there was a verbal dispute inside 101 Wortman Avenue when an unknown male brandished a firearm and began shooting,” NYPD Assistant Chief Judith Harrison said.

“He shot two people inside that location,” Harrison said. “Also shot at the corner of Georgia Avenue and Wortman Avenue were three males who were sitting inside a gray Infiniti sedan.”

The dead woman was with a 25-year-old man when another man, 22, allegedly opened fire on the pair shortly before 11:30 p.m.

“I was sleeping and that woke me up,” a 22-year-old local told The Post. “I came downstairs, I opened the door and I saw the bodies.

“It sounded different from anything I’ve ever heard,” she said. “It was so close. It sounded really loud and fast. It was quick.”

The woman was taken to Kings County Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, while the man was injured.

“I heard about eight shots,” said another neighbor. “After six, I got lost. I could tell right away they were gunshots. No, that ain’t no firecrackers. It sounded loud — boom, boom. It was a big gun.”

He said an eyewitness told him the shooting was over “a stare.”

“He pulled out a gun and asked, ‘Why you looking at me?'” the neighbor said. “He turned his head. He didn’t think the kid had a gun. He pulled out his gun and shot him.”

Cops have the suspected gunman in custody but have not announced charges.

In a separate attack, police said a man was also attacked by about a half-dozen people and slashed with a machete in Sunset Park around 6 p.m. Saturday.
