American homosexual influencer Dylan Mulvaney appeared on the red carpet at the 81st Golden Globes in Los Angeles Sunday night

Mulvaney posed for the cameras as he walked into the ceremony almost one year after his controversial Bud Light promotion.

Mulvaney was already phenomenally popular on TikTok for documenting his transition, but is now known for the controversy surrounding his failed promotion of what was America's most popular beer for 22 years.

The brewing giant created a limited run of Bud Light cans with her face to celebrate 365 days of 'being a girl,' the phrase he uses to describe his transition.

Mulvaney partnered with the brand last April for its March Madness NCAA campaign and posted a video on April 1 while holding the can

Despite the cans being an extremely limited run and only featuring in one video, conservative figures were outraged and called for a boycott.

The doomed deal was an attempt by since-departed marketing VP Alissa Heinerscheid to 'attract young drinkers' and abandon the beer's 'fratty and out-of-touch humor'.

The backlash caused Bud Light's parent company, Anheuser-Busch, to lose $400 million in sales as US revenue dropped 10.5 percent compared with the year before.

As the conservative backlash grew into a widespread boycott, Anheuser-Busch stock plunged 20 percent, Bud Light sales fell 26 percent and Modelo Especial became the new best-selling beer in the country.

The brewer's hangover continues. Heads continued to roll at Anheuser-Busch with the resignation of its US marketing chief in November. Sales of Bud Light have never fully recovered.

Mulvaney condemned Bud Light, which he did not name in any response to the backlash, for not backing her up.

'For a company to hire a trans person and then not publicly stand by them is worse, in my opinion, than not hiring a trans person at all,' he previously told The Cut.

He described himself as a 'sacrificial lamb in the election landscape', adding that the entire fiasco was a 'wake-up call' and he became 'a more realistic person'.

Mulvaney later posted a TikTok video where he said he felt 'scared to leave the house' at the height of the backlash.

Bud Light workers accused their company's leadership of 'cowardice' over the ad fiasco, arguing they should have better supported Mulvaney.

Last month, Mulvaney revealed how he had finally changed the gender on his passport from male to female.

Despite coming out as transgender in March 2022 and becoming famous for documenting his transition, Mulvaney had still been using a years-old passport.

He even showed her 10 million TikTok followers his passport photo when he still had masculine facial features and short brown hair.

He explained he stayed with a male passport for so long because it had to be sent away for 'weeks or months' to change it and she travels so much for work.

However, it became increasingly difficult to use as the radical difference between his appurtenance and passport photo confused immigration officials.

'They don't always think I'm the same person that's in my passport... they're like who are you and what did you do with the old Dylan,' he said.

This got worse after he had facial feminization surgery earlier this year that changed the shape of his face even further from the male passport photo.

Mulvaney filmed himself having a new passport photo taken and marveled how it turned out well - in contrast to most official pictures.

'I would like to thank the US Government for allowing me to do this,' she said as she pointed out the F next to gender on the new passport.

'And for all those people [who] called me a man, well, you can take that up with the Department of Social Security because my passport says otherwise.'

Mulvaney later documented a roadtrip with friends to a woodland retreat where she posed naked in an outdoor bath wearing only a red beanie.

Other photos showed him in a fluffy pink dress and other ostentatious winter-themed outfits alongside his friends.
