Brave Victim Exposes Priest’s Abuse

American priest Ignacio Medina of Missouri was found guilty by the church of soliciting sex from an adult during a confession

An American Catholic priest in Missouri has been found guilty of soliciting sex during confession. Ignacio Medina was convicted on Thursday after a trial that lasted several days.

According to reports, Ignacio Medina engaged in sexual conversations with a woman who was seeking spiritual guidance from him. He also asked her to perform sexual acts on him during confession.

Medina had denied all allegations against him, but evidence presented in court proved otherwise. The recordings were made by the victim, who had become suspicious of the priest’s behavior.

In one conversation, Medina  can be heard asking the victim to “show me your breasts” and “touch yourself.” In another conversation, he asks her to perform a specific sexual act on him. The victim testified that she felt uncomfortable and scared during the encounters, but did not want to disappoint the priest.

Medina  faces up to seven years in prison for each count of sexual misconduct. His sentencing is scheduled for next month.
