A few weeks ago, workers at a Río Ceballos vaccination center in Córdoba noticed that second doses of the coronavirus vaccines were missing and later it was learned that they had been stolen. In total, the stolen ampoules were 20: 10 from Sputnik V and 10 from Sinopharm .
The incident occurred on Saturday July 10 at the "Doctor Norcelo Cardozo" municipal health center , located in the town of Río Ceballos. However, the theft was only confirmed on Monday, July 12.
It all started when the vaccination authorities noticed that there was a difference between the physical stock and the stock that appeared loaded in the system. In this way, the incident was reported to the courts and the Ministry of Health of Córdoba.
According to the municipal health director, Alejandro Racca, told a local media, the bars of the place were intact so they will interrogate the people who worked in the vaccination center. " The people who enter are only those who carry out the triage on admission and go to the consultation, " he said, arguing that it would be difficult for someone to steal the doses due to staff oversight.
The stolen vaccines would have allowed the immunization schedule of 20 people to be completed. Anyway, Racca assured that there are enough vaccines to be able to continue with the campaign and that the vaccination process is not stopped due to the missing ones.
