American paedophile teacher of Florida arrested for child pornography and sexual offenses

James Goff faces charges including promotion of a sexual performance by a child and lewd or lascivious battery

A middle school teacher was arrested after deputies said he committed multiple sexual offenses against a minor and for possession of child pornography.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) said detectives arrested 56-year-old James Goff on Friday for his involvement in sexual acts against a juvenile victim that took place between May and November 2023.

Detectives obtained a search warrant and found numerous images and videos of child pornography at Goff's home.

It was also discovered that Goff was a teacher at Greco Middle School.

“Not only did this man take advantage of a vulnerable juvenile, he shattered the trust our community put in him. It's a betrayal that cuts deep, especially from someone in a position who is meant to nurture and protect,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “Rest assured, Goff will pay the full price for his actions, facing the consequences he has earned.”

Goff faces the following charges:

- 28 counts of promotion of a sexual performance by a child

- Eight counts of possession of child pornography

- Six counts of lewd or lascivious battery

- One count of use of computer services or devices to solicit certain illegal acts

- One count of transmission of material harmful to minor

-One count of unlawful use of a two-way communication device

Detectives say they do not believe any students were victimized and the crimes were not committed on school property following an initial investigation.
