Mass shooting again in the United States leaves one dead and four injured in Baltimore library
By Edward Era Barbacena
One person was shot dead and four others were rushed to hospital after a gunman opened fire near a Baltimore library on Saturday morning.
Baltimore Police said the shooting erupted shortly after 4am across from the Woodlawn Branch Library, roughly eight miles from the center of Baltimore.
Officers arrived at the scene to find five victims with gunshot wounds, and one was pronounced dead at the scene. The status of the shooter is not clear.
Footage from the parking lot where the shooting unfolded showed investigators focusing on a bullet-riddled white Hyundai vehicle.
The windshield and wall behind the vehicle were covered in bullet holes, and the ground surrounding the car had a large number of evidence markers for what appeared to be numerous bullet shell casings.
Police say investigations into the tragedy are ongoing, and are yet to release the names of any victims or suspects.
