The ban will be in effect from 16-31 July

The Philippines has officially banned the entry of all travelers coming from Indonesia to prevent the spread of the Delta variant of the Covid-19 case.
The ban, which is valid from July 16-31, also applies to those who have a history of traveling to Indonesia within 14 days before arriving in the Philippines.

Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte has approved the regulatory recommendations proposed by the Philippines' pandemic task force.
Passengers who have transited or visited Indonesia and arrived before July 16 at 12:01 local time may still be allowed to enter the Philippines.
"But (they) will be asked to quarantine at the facility for a full 14 days even if the Reverse Transcription-Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) result is negative," said presidential spokesman Harry Roque.
In addition, the Philippines also extended the entry ban for travelers from India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, United Arab Emirates and Oman.
The ban, which was supposed to expire on July 15, will remain in effect until July 31.
So far, the Philippines has 19 cases of the Delta variant of Covid-19.
Indonesia is experiencing a surge in Covid-19 cases since June 2021 along with the outbreak of the Delta variant from India.
Indonesia has more than 2.67 million positive cases of Covid-19 with the addition of 54,517 new patients on Wednesday which is the highest daily case record.
