Military plane crashed in Sulu, Philippines leaves 17 dead and 40 injured

17 perished and 40 injured after a milirary aircraft of Philippine Air Force crashed in Patikul Sulu in the Philippines before noon, Defence SecretaryDelfin Lorenza of the told the local media.
According to Lorenzana, the 17 fatalities and 40 wounded were among the 92 passengers on board the military plane, three of them were pilots and five were crewmen.
" The rest were military personnel who were reporting for duty." Lorenzana added.
The military aircraft took off from Lumbia Airport in Cagayan De Oro city was about to land in Jolo port in Sulu when it suddenly crashed at around 11:30 AM ( Phil time ).
Up to now, rescue operation is still being carried by the Philippine Air Force.
Cirilito Sobejana of the Chief General of the Armed Forces of the Philippines said that the 40 wounded passengers have been rescued.
