Rabbi stabbed outside the Jewish school in Brighton, suspect arrested

Boston - Security has been tightened at a Jewish day school in Brighton after a rabbi was stabbed multiple times outside building on Thursday afternoon, few hours after the crime incident, police were able to arrest the suspect in connection to the stabbing who was a local to the area.

The suspect was identified as a 24 year old Khaled Awad. He has been indicted with assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon and assault and battery against a police officer.

The victim was Shlomo Noginski who survived the attacked and only suffered from non-fatal stabbing. Noginski was attacked on the street just outside the Shalo house, a religious institution serving the Russian-Jewish community in Boston area, said Rabbi Dan Rodkin, executive director of Shalo house in Brighton.

"He is, thank God, in stable condition and being treated in the hospital for stab wounds to his arms." Rodkin said
The police were called to Chesnut hill avenue and Washington street in Brighton where Noginski was found with multiple stab wounds. The police are still investigating the motive behind the stabbing.
